Niko's AFL Supercoach Watchlist: Buy, Hold, Sell round 3


<p>1922 was a great score for me in round 2 and a massive thank you to big X for his 199 as captain!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>My rank jumped nearly 30k spots to inside the top 8k.&nbsp; It does go to show how one week can change things massively so don’t be too dejected if you’ve started poorly.</p>



<p>I’m now looking to capitalise on a good start to the season, and everyone should be boosting this week making this article a must read, and long, sorry in advance.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Buy – Must Have’s</strong></h2>

<p>Everyone listed in the above snippet from the Supercoach player database is a must have (except Murdock, more on this later…) as they’ll all make bulk cash from very low starting prices.&nbsp; Prioritise these guys before reading on, but hopefully you started them all.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Buy – Optional </strong></h2>



<p><strong>Brayden Cook ($158,700 Adelaide&nbsp;MID/FWD, B/E -63)</strong></p>



<p>I do think this one is optional due to his wing role and not being a guaranteed starter.&nbsp; Having said that, with some injuries around him he should hold for a few weeks.&nbsp; Has a great kick on him and the DPP is a huge plus.</p>



<p><strong>Jack&nbsp;Watkins ($99,100 Port Adelaide&nbsp;MID, B/E -62)</strong></p>



<p>Should keep his spot for the time being due to the injuries around him and his leg speed.&nbsp; The 74 score stays in his cycle for two weeks and he has an easy matchup.&nbsp; Very good option if you can make it work.</p>



<p><strong>Willem&nbsp;Duursma ($203,500 West Coast&nbsp;MID, B/E -49)</strong></p>



<p>I was scared off the number one draft pick due to his inflated price but he’s looking pretty good.  He did need two goals and a win to get his 88 score so that has me a little worried.</p>

<p><strong>Tanner&nbsp;Bruhn ($276,800 Geelong&nbsp;MID, B/E -42)</strong></p>



<p>Very close to must-have due to his points on field and coming off the bye.&nbsp; Should continue to score well and could be your last upgrade if things go well.</p>



<p><strong>Josh&nbsp;Worrell ($487,000 Adelaide DEF, B/E 42)</strong></p>



<p>116 and 123 to start the season and sharing kick outs.&nbsp; If he’s fully fit looks a good trade in if you can overcome the round 12 bye.</p>



<p><strong>Tristan&nbsp;Xerri ($687,300 North Melbourne&nbsp;RUC, B/E 69)</strong></p>



<p>IF you have a struggling ruck, he’s the man to bring in.&nbsp; The upcoming ruck battles include Blakistan, Pittonet, Draper/Fort, Samson Ryan, Briggs, and Edwards/Blicavs.</p>



<p><strong>Dayne&nbsp;Zorko ($555,300 Brisbane DEF, B/E 87)</strong></p>



<p>Age is but a number for this fella.  Should continue to score very well as the #1 distributor off half back for the Premierships fancies.</p>

<p>It’s not a low breakeven by any means but has started the season hot and looks a great trade in coming off the bye.</p>



<p><strong>Nick&nbsp;Daicos ($628,400 Collingwood MID, B/E 119)</strong></p>



<p>Same applies here as with Holmes for the Brownlow fancy.</p>

<p><strong>Milan Murdock ($99,100 West Coast&nbsp;MID, B/E -145)</strong></p>



<p>Played out the match on the weekend with a hamstring concern and scans have confirmed a strain.&nbsp; Will miss a couple, but when he’s ready to return will be one of the biggest must-have’s in Supercoach history.</p>



<p><strong>Zane&nbsp;Zakostelsky ($119,900 Brisbane&nbsp;DEF/RUC, B/E -49)</strong></p>



<p>Handy DPP but if you didn’t start with him there’s better trade in options.&nbsp; Likely to lose his spot when Andrews returns from suspension.</p>



<p><strong>Bo&nbsp;Allan ($152,600 West Coast&nbsp;DEF, B/E -41)</strong></p>



<p>Inflated price and likely to continue dropping 50’s.&nbsp; Better options than him.</p>



<p><strong>Max&nbsp;Kondogiannis ($113,500 Essendon&nbsp;DEF, B/E -35)</strong></p>



<p>We do have a defender rookie crisis with Gibcus and Lindsay getting dropped, but I don’t think he’s the answer.</p>

<p>Handy DPP again but he’s too expensive for what you’re likely to get.</p>

<p>Has risen $40k and if you’re an owner hold for another week at least, if named…</p>



<p><strong>Dan&nbsp;Houston ($431,500 Collingwood DEF, B/E 23)</strong></p>



<p>I see plenty people trading into him, but I’m not convinced.&nbsp; Moore and Howe will return and take some of the kick-ins and ball off him in the back half.</p>



<p><strong>Mattaes&nbsp;Phillipou ($185,400 St Kilda&nbsp;FWD, B/E 38)</strong></p>



<p>Didn’t miss a match with his corkie but was on reduced minutes.  I think, and hope, we’ll see a lift in both TOG and scores shortly.  Not worth a trade out.</p>

<p>One bad game, one good game.&nbsp; That’s what you’ll get.&nbsp; On my never again list.</p>



<p><strong>Lachie&nbsp;Ash ($582,600 GWS Giants&nbsp;DEF, B/E 70)</strong></p>



<p>Bye next week makes him a pass for now but trending nicely as an upgrade target.</p>

<p>I think the don’t sell your premiums rule exemption applies here.  Disaster starting pick with every other ruck popping off.</p>

<p>60’s at this starting price as first ruck is just not cutting the mustard.&nbsp; Plays Xerri next…</p>



<p><strong>Dyson&nbsp;Sharp ($149,500 Essendon&nbsp;MID, B/E 15)</strong></p>



<p>There was already worrying signs with TOG before his ankle injury.&nbsp; It’s nothing serious but I’m planning on moving him on.</p>
