Final Word: Captains, weather, super PODs, Rd 6

We’ve hit an exciting point in the season, with two consecutive rounds without any teams on the double game or the bye. I find it a great opportunity to target fallen guns now that we have more cash generated to spend, and less concern about stacking our teams with players getting two games in the round. Most importantly, it should hopefully create more diversity in Supercoach teams which makes things far more interesting. The Cooma Stallions are sitting in 11th position overall, and for a gleaming moment I thought we might be headed far higher.
