Positional Watchlist: NRL Supercoach Round 24 Rising and Falling Player Stocks

This week was a timely reminder of the ability to make up ground through captaincy, with Teddy (189 points) a fair way down the list of the most popular options. 



It seems hard at the moment to find decent PODs, so captaincy and start/sits could be a better way to differentiate. 



There could be opportunities for captaincy differentiation in particular, with the Panthers (Cleary) and Roosters (Teddy) having a few difficult matches coming up.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Fullbacks</h3>



A bit of a shake-up in the fullback position with Drinky not goalkicking. 



Throw in a goalkicking Walsh + Turbo with a great upcoming draw (Tigers A, Dolphins H, Dragons A, Warriors H) and there’s plenty of temptation to make a move. 



On the flip side, Drinky himself has a decent next three (Knights H, Tigers A, Broncos H), before a round 27 bye. 



In a struggling Cowboys outfit, though, I think he’s a potential trade out. 



Whether to make a move or not this week could be a matter of how many trades you have and how aggressive you want to be. 



If trading, I’d prefer Turbo over Walsh, due to him being in a more settled spine. 



I also prefer him as a potential captaincy option in the coming weeks.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">CTW</h3>



Hard to see many options in CTW outside of the mainstays.&nbsp;



I’ve gone a bit cold on the Warriors based on recent form, but RTS is a solid enough option if targeting the Wah’s upcoming golden run (Dragons H, Titans A, Eels H, Sea Eagles A).



Doueihi is a player who has shown a ceiling in the past when playing in the halves. 



He’s a potential POD option if he continues to be named there, with Sea Eagles (H), Cowboys (A), Raiders (A), Titans (A) in the run home.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">5/8</h3>



Munster and Campbell are once again the standouts at 5/8. 



I wouldn’t be overly concerned about Munster’s upcoming match against Penrith. 



He tends to go as well, if not better, in tough matchups.



Ben Hunt has emerged as a value option ($383.5k), set to start at halfback for the rest of the regular season. 



The Broncos&#8217; next three matches are reasonable (Dolphins H, Knights A, Cowboys A), before playing the Storm at Suncorp in round 27.

Sam Walker is looking better by the week. 



I don’t particularly like any of his upcoming matchups until round 27 vs the Bunnies, though. 



Cleary and Hynes remain essential. 



Hynes could be the best captain option this week at home on Sunday afternoon to the Titans.

With Brailey on a bye next week, Harry Grant looks the best HK option right now.



Like Munster, I’m not too off put by his upcoming draw. 



He’s the best hooker in the NRL and can score well against anyone.
