Positional Watchlist: NRL Supercoach Round 21 Rising and Falling Player Stocks

As we enter the run home, I’ve consolidated the list below, grouped by final team targets first. 



The job and form watchlists follow this, with notes on any particular players of interest. 



The template team at this stage of the season looks fairly similar. 



However, with a few different approaches to the flex and players going down with injury, hopefully this changes in coming rounds.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Fullbacks</h3>



For those who don’t own Edwards (me included), do we risk going without him with a -18 BE and matches against the Tigers and Titans? 



He seems to be over his injury niggles, and his base + power has been exceptional during his last two games (70 and 87).



Whether to bring him in or not, I think depends on your position and goals for the season. 



If you’re aiming to protect rank or head-to-head position, the trade makes sense. 



If not, I’d look elsewhere.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">CTW:</h3>



I’ve added Roger here as he has an incredible draw to finish the season (Titans H, Dolphins H, Dogs A, Dragons H, Titans A, Eels H, Sea Eagles A). 



His base has been solid as always, and with that draw, I can reasonably see him bumping his current 64 average to 70+ for the remaining rounds.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">5/8</h3>



Campbell is proving to be somewhat of a Supercoach enigma, scoring 56 against the Tigers, with just 20 in base. 



I can still see him going big a few times in the run home though and think he’s the best option at 5/8 at just $490k.



Galvin has now also bottomed out in price ($444k) and found his mojo to win the Dogs the game on the weekend. 



He could be a decent POD, although there aren’t many easy matchups for the Dogs in the run home (they do play the Tigers in round 22, but this isn’t all that easy as a grudge match against his former club).

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Halfbacks:</h3>



With Latrell Mitchell injured and Papenhuyzen’s ongoing availability uncertain, a three-halfback strategy looks like a decent option. 



This would allow a VC/C of two halfbacks on any given week. 



For those skipping Edwards, this is the way I’d go.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">2RF:</h3>



I liked what I saw from Hudson last week. 



65 points with no attacking points but 3 offloads. 



He’s been a standout at 2RF this season, having registered 4 x 100+ scores, and there could be more to come.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">FRF:</h3>



Haas is the clear priority here after a two-week rest. 



Following Tino’s injury, Clark is the standout 3rd FRF. 



Any more injuries and we’ll be scraping in this position.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Hooker:</h3>



Brailey has affirmed his status as the number one hooker. 



However, given it’s generally not a high-ceiling position, Grant (value option) and Watson (dual) still offer viable alternatives.
