NRL Supercoach Draft rankings: Top 150 list
NRL Supercoach Draft expert Max Bryden ranks the top 150 best buys in order for your big day.
19/02/2025Updated: 23/02/2025Before the footy, there’s your SuperCoach draft.
And to help you with your Draft comp, here’s our Top 150 Draft rankings.
These have been meticulously put together based on a review of positional rankings, positional depth as well as the strength of schedule for Rounds 23 – 26 aka the SuperCoach draft finals.
This Top 150 has been pulled together against the context of a 12-man comp. If you’re playing a small comp, again there might be some fluctuation.

But after road testing this list through many mock drafts I can confidently present them.
Now during your draft you can review this page as a guide to help you. But to get the best results, I recommend updating your Pre Draft board as much as possible.
Given that’s the tool you need to do the draft itself, organisation is key.
So here it is – let us know what we got wrong in the comments.
Rank | Player | Notes |
1 | Nathan Cleary | The lack of positional depth pushes him to a clear number 1 |
2 | Tom Trbojevic | Great finals draw and high ceiling. If he’s fit in your finals, you should win. |
3 | Kalyn Ponga | Rare ceiling and his goal kicking helps push him above his rivals. |
4 | James Tedesco | Won’t do what he did last year, but his durability and lack of Origin means he’s a great asset. |
5 | Jahrome Hughes | Again, the lack of positional depth hurts but he’s a stud regardless. |
6 | Nicho Hynes | Some risk if he doesn’t return to this 2023 heights. If you’re a believer take him even higher. |
7 | Scott Drinkwater | Scores well and won’t play Origin. If he gets the kicking he can challenge the Top 5 on points and average. |
8 | Reece Walsh | A rollercoaster but a guy who can win you your matchups when the broncos play well. |
9 | Latrell Mitchell | A bye in Round 26 hurts, but he will win you lots of games. The injury drops him from 5th to 9th. |
10 | Keano Kini | The fresh face in the Top 10. Not without risk given he’s only in his second year of first grade. |
11 | Dylan Edwards | A consistent scorer, albeit one who could miss games over Origin. |
12 | Reuben Garrick | First CTW off the board. Always scores well due to goal kicking. |
13 | Dylan Brown | Lower than years past despite picking up the dual. Comes with some risk given his ACL strain. |
14 | David Fifita | First 2RF off the board. |
15 | Ryan Papenhuyzen | If he gets goal kicks he could move into the top 5. Regardless he’s a top prospect. |
16 | Zac Lomax | Some are scared off by his move to the centres. I still think he will go well. |
17 | Jacob Kiraz | Huge workrate is his trade mark. if he can add more tries this year he could be the top averaging CTW. |
18 | Harry Grant | The best hooker available. |
19 | Eli Katoa | A certified star. His NZ heritage means his partnership with Hughes usually flourishes throughout origin. |
20 | Angus Crichton | Not tipped to hit the heights of last year but still rock solid. |
21 | Isaah Yeo | |
22 | Cam Munster | Could go as high as 13 or much later depending on your appetitie for risk. How he returns post surgery we don’t know. |
23 | Brian To’o | |
24 | Herbie Farnworth | |
25 | Val Holmes | A new team is expected to score less, but he’s still going to be a valuable guy to own. |
26 | Daly Cherry-Evans | Could be taken later based on his average, but on positional depth he could land this high. |
27 | Jayden Campbell | A sneaky 70 point average last year was fantastic. A move to halfback adds question marks. His dual position makes him a top 30 pick. |
28 | Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow | Doesn’t have the same base scores as other fullbacks but can go high thanks to his speed and try scoring ability. |
29 | Addin Fonua-Blake | The top FRF. Don’t take him higher than this as FRF isn’t important. |
30 | Payne Haas | |
31 | Dane Gagai | |
32 | Ronaldo Mulitalo | |
33 | Clint Gutherson | |
34 | Haumole Olakau’atu | |
35 | Briton Nikora | |
36 | Hudson Young | A sneakily good SuperCoach prospect. Don’t sleep on him. |
37 | Kayal Iro | |
38 | J’maine Hopgood | Could be top 20 if we knew he was going to get big minutes. |
39 | Mitch Barnett | |
40 | Terrell May | From undrafted last year, May is now expected to average 65+ at FRF. |
41 | Mitch Moses | Loses goal kicking hence his drop out of the Top 20. |
42 | Jamayne Isaako | |
43 | Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
44 | Pat Carrigan | His mooted shift to FRF this year means we don’t know how he will score. Worth a punt around this time of the draft. |
45 | Matt Burton | |
46 | Joseph Tapine | |
47 | Tom Dearden | |
48 | Lachie Galvin | Pending on if you’re a believer of not, Galvin could move up a few spots but I think this is a good spot for the second year player. Let’s see how he goes with Luai before we get carried away. |
49 | Connor Watson | Handy dual position. |
50 | Cam Murray | Pending injury update |
51 | Dylan Lucas | Handy dual position – best to pick him at CTW. |
52 | Jarome Luai | |
53 | Tino Fa’asuamaleaui | At times a top 10 pick. Let’s see how he comes back from his ACL injury before picking him too high. |
54 | Reece Robson | |
55 | Api Koroisau | If he were to lose goal kicking he could drop 40 spots in this list. |
56 | Jesse Ramien | |
57 | Jayden Su’a | Sneaky 67 average last year, so he’s shown his class. But best not go too early. |
58 | Jeremy Marshall-King
59 | Damien Cook | New club, new role? we don’t know so don’t go too early on Cookie. |
60 | Dan Tupou | Averaged 65 last year but that was under different halves. |
61 | Cody Walker | |
62 | Greg Marzhew | Some people took Greg in the top 15 last year. We’re being a bit more conservative this season. |
63 | Nick Meaney | |
64 | Dom Young | Averaged over 70 last year but we are not expecting the same with no Manu inside him. |
65 | Selwyn Cobbo | |
66 | Campbell Graham | A risky pick given we have not seen him play for almost two years. |
67 | Keaon Koloamatangi | |
68 | Isaiah Papali’i | New club, new role. Not sure what we will get. |
69 | Max Plath | Handy dual position this year but with an unclear role you can wait to almost pick 70 to take him. |
70 | Cam McInnes | |
71 | Connor Tracey | One of the few remaining dual position players. A decent guy to reach higher for if you have concerns with your fullback’s injury history. |
72 | Bradman Best | |
73 | Roger Tuivasa-Sheck | Will move to the wing this year which should see an increase in his scoring. |
74 | Paul Alamoti | |
75 | AJ Brimson | Should earn dual 5/8 at some point which makes him a handy guy to own. |
76 | Te Maire Martin | |
77 | Beau Fermor | Handy dual. We saw him play both sides yesterday – if he ends up on the left, it’s all systems go. |
78 | Philip Sami | |
79 | Brian Kelly | |
80 | Sam Walker | Injured to start the year but given the lack of depth at HFB is still relevant. |
81 | Jacob Preston | |
82 | Izack Tago | |
83 | Fletcher Sharpe | Good duals and could score well at five-eighth. As the backup to Kalyn Ponga he’s a handy stash. |
84 | Jeremiah Nanai | |
85 | Jahream Bula | |
86 | Keao Weekes | This is a decent time to take Weekes who needs a lot of attack to score well. |
87 | Murray Taulagi | |
88 | Brayden Trindall | Averaged well last year but scored a lot of tries. If Nicho were to get injured you’d be stoked to own him. |
89 | Ben Hunt | |
90 | Zac Hosking | |
91 | Lehi Hopoate | Another handy guy to own thanks to the role he’d win if Turbo got hurt. |
92 | Reed Mahoney | |
93 | Blayke Brailey | |
94 | Jeral Skelton | Big watch on team lists. Has a huge motor and workrate but is still working on his defence. |
95 | Sandon Smith | |
96 | Jacob Liddle | |
97 | Casey McLean | Whoever earns the starting spot at Penrith out of him and his brother should be taken around here. |
98 | Shawn Blore | |
99 | Euan Aikten | |
100 | Nat Butcher | |
101 | Will Penisini | |
102 | Christian Tuipulotu | Sneaky good player last season who can score tries in contact. |
103 | Sunia Turuva | |
104 | Luke Brooks | |
105 | Deine Mariner | |
106 | Max King | |
107 | Blaize Talagi | |
108 | Reuben Cotter | |
109 | Teig Wilton | |
110 | Braidon Burns | |
111 | Kelma Tuilagi | Big watch on minutes at Parra. If he gets 80 you could be getting a steal at this pick. |
112 | Sam Stonestreet | This is purely based on team lists. If he gets the spot, he’s got the skill to average well. |
113 | Moses Suli | |
114 | Jamal Fogarty | |
115 | Luke Metcalf | |
116 | Jack Wighton | |
117 | Jake Averillo | |
118 | Lindsay Smith | Should get a minutes up tick and average 55-60 this year at FRF. |
119 | Jack de Belin | |
120 | Luciano Leilua | |
121 | James Fisher-Harris
122 | Stefano | |
123 | Josh Curran | |
124 | Ali Leiataua | Bullocking talent who could shoot up this list if he’s a focal point of the Warriors attack. Big watch. |
125 | Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
126 | Josh Addo-Carr | |
127 | John Bateman | |
128 | Victor Radley | |
129 | Adam Reynolds | Always an injury concern with ARey but when on the field he scores well thanks to his goal kicking. |
130 | Toby Sexton | |
131 | Ethan Strange | |
132 | Adam Doueihi | If he goal kicks you could have a Top 10 five-eight late in the draft for little cost. |
133 | Tom Duffy | |
134 | Jake Clifford | |
135 | Tyran Wishart | |
136 | Jason Saab | |
137 | Tyson Frizell | |
138 | James Schiller | |
139 | Isaiah Iongi | |
140 | Sua Fa’alogo | A good handcuff if you become the Papi owner. |
141 | Tommy Talau | |
142 | Villiame Kikau | |
143 | Samuela Fainu | |
144 | Jack Howarth | |
145 | Mark Nawaqanitawase
146 | Trent Loiero | |
147 | William Warbrick | |
148 | Kai Pearce-Paul | |
149 | Corey Horsbrough | |
150 | Tom Hazleton |
Absolutely love the Draft content, Maxy. Timmy and the rest of the SCPB Crew were lucky to snag a Top 5 pick off Waivers.
