Niko’s AFL Supercoach Watchlist: Buy, Hold, Sell round 14


<p>What a disaster week only managing a 1759 and a big slide in the ranks.</p>



<p>Grundy as captain hurt, as did his teammate McInerney pinging a hammy, Walsh, Petracca, Rowell and Murdock all scoring poorly.&nbsp; The tail simply didn’t wag for me.</p>



<p>Having held onto Flanders as I wanted Ross or Rankine instead for the run home, who are both ruled out again, I’m clearly seeing them well…</p>



<p>I need to make two sideways trades now instead of an upgrade.&nbsp; Perhaps not a bad thing with the rookies available this week after going early on Hugo.</p>



<p>The trade tally is getting dire and it’s going to be close as to whether I get a full “premium” team. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Buy</strong></h2>



<p><strong>Jasper&nbsp;Alger ($148,900 Richmond FWD, B/E -34)</strong></p>



<p>Already seen a price rise which is not ideal but his 16 debut score will drop off this week.&nbsp; I wouldn’t expect much, but he should play and get 50’s and give you cover.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Hugo&nbsp;Hall-Kahan ($99,100 Adelaide&nbsp;DEF/MID, B/E -30)</strong></p>



<p>72 on debut and didn’t look out of place.&nbsp; Copped a massive hit and came back on to be influential in the close win.&nbsp; Should have earnt himself a few more weeks in the team and an easy trade in at the bargain basement price and DPP.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Jason&nbsp;Horne-Francis ($461,000 Port Adelaide&nbsp;MID/FWD, B/E 32)</strong></p>



<p>Has backed it up now and should hopefully finish the season strongly.</p>

<p><strong>Finn&nbsp;Callaghan ($494,600 GWS Giants&nbsp;MID, B/E 51)</strong></p>



<p>I’m wary of upcoming tags, but if you’re low on cash, he’s a good option.&nbsp; He cleaned up his ball use pre bye and hopefully that can stay now.</p>



<p><strong>Sam&nbsp;Durham ($365,700 Essendon&nbsp;MID/FWD, B/E 78)</strong></p>



<p>Cash dependant pick as it’s dried up for most of us.&nbsp; Should be a good enough F6 who showed his ceiling with more CBAs on the weekend.&nbsp; Bit of a watch with Parish and Caldwell to return but beggars can’t be choosers.</p>



<p><strong>Lachie&nbsp;Ash ($509,400 GWS Giants&nbsp;DEF, B/E 94)</strong></p>



<p>Number one defensive premium to bring in this week.&nbsp; Should have his role down back again and has a proven history of good scoring.</p>



<p><strong>Clayton&nbsp;Oliver ($544,000 GWS Giants MID, B/E 107)</strong></p>



<p>Finn is better but he’s still a good trade in option this week.  He won’t see a tag at least.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Hold</strong></h2>



<p><strong>Harry&nbsp;Kyle ($145,000 Sydney DEF/MID, B/E -30)</strong></p>



<p>I’m wary of fringe players on good teams.&nbsp; I would just save $50k and get Hall-Kahan instead.</p>



<p><strong>Milan&nbsp;Murdock ($359,500 West Coast&nbsp;MID/FWD, B/E 61)</strong></p>



<p>Had a decent DT score but his metres gained and disposal let him down in SC.&nbsp; He’s still an integral part of the team and you can hold him for at least one more with the breakeven.</p>



<p><strong>Lachlan&nbsp;McAndrew ($424,800 Adelaide RUC, B/E 77)</strong></p>



<p>If you’ve held him this far, keep doing it until a ruck presents itself as a proper trade in.  There are too many question marks on all of them expect Jackson.</p>

<p>A proper yo-yo this season.&nbsp; Not sure where you go instead of crabbing to J Daicos?&nbsp; Just keep trading around him unless you’re cashed up and have a stack of trades available.</p>



<p><strong>Sam&nbsp;Walsh ($468,900 Carlton MID, B/E 110)</strong></p>



<p>He’ll be on the never-again list for me after this horror show but I’m holding him.  Maybe I’m forced to, but he also might be carrying a niggle that can be resolved over the bye.</p>

<p>Utter disaster selection.&nbsp; Three poor scores in a row to completely tank his price and now an 8-10 week hamstring injury.&nbsp; No point holding him.</p>



<p><strong>Mattaes&nbsp;Phillipou ($340,500 St Kilda&nbsp;MID/FWD, B/E 116)</strong></p>



<p>I felt this floor was going to show up again.  Sell now before he loses more cash.</p>

<p>Has done his job and you should be able to move him on now that’s he’s on the bye.</p>



<p><strong>Angus&nbsp;Anderson ($245,100 Collingwood&nbsp;MID, B/E 63)</strong></p>



<p>Another on the bye who can be sold.&nbsp; The role is not conducive to scoring well.</p>
