Niko’s AFL Supercoach Watchlist: Buy, Hold, Sell round 12


<p>Another week, another premium defender late out.&nbsp; That’s three weeks in a row.</p>



<p>2242 for me in round 11 see’s me slide to rank 16k.&nbsp; I just can’t get a fair crack at it at the moment, which is disappointing.</p>



<p>But we move forward and hope for a change in luck.  The process seems right, which is all we can do.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Buy</strong></h2>



<p><strong>Jack&nbsp;Ison ($113,500 Carlton MID, B/E -77)</strong></p>



<p>Left a monster score on the table with poor disposal and goal kicking efficiency.&nbsp; Clear top trade in target, and no brainer selection.</p>



<p><strong>Charlie&nbsp;Banfield ($113,500 St Kilda MID/FWD, B/E -60)</strong></p>



<p>He has an 80 in his scoring cycle now for two weeks, and that’s good enough, especially with his DPP.</p>



<p><strong>Darcy&nbsp;Cameron ($412,600 Collingwood RUC, B/E 44)</strong></p>



<p>Was always going to score well against the Eagles but his role with Steene out of the picture is the big plus.  A great value option to put in flex.</p>

<p><strong>Callum&nbsp;Wilkie ($437,700 St Kilda DEF, B/E 67)</strong></p>



<p>Another great value buy.&nbsp; Floor of 80 and expect him to average 100+ on the run home.&nbsp; The Saints now have 9 of their last 13 matches at Marvel.</p>



<p><strong>Zach&nbsp;Merrett ($554,800 Essendon MID, B/E 105)</strong></p>



<p>He could see a tag this week but if he suits your bye structure and you like him long-term go for it.&nbsp; Having said, I’m on the fence a little.</p>



<p><strong>Max&nbsp;Holmes ($568,900 Geelong DEF/MID, B/E 107)</strong></p>



<p>Snuck in with defensive DPP which is unreal.  I’ve already flicked him back as an owner, and he’s a clear must-have now for the run home.</p>

<p><strong>Bailey&nbsp;Smith ($637,500 Geelong MID, B/E 115)</strong></p>



<p>Tagged and still dropped a 115.&nbsp; His massive scoring potential makes him an ideal captaincy option each week.&nbsp; Third on total points, the Cats are flying, and his Supercoach finals opponents make him a must-have.</p>



<p><strong>Isaac&nbsp;Heeney ($604,800 Sydney MID, B/E 160)</strong></p>



<p>Here we are, recommending a buy with a 160 breakeven.  He has a 140ave against the Tigers in his last three outings so he may not even lose cash at all.  A Supercoach stud with a massive ceiling, which is what we need in the best 18 format.</p>

<p>Ain’t no way I’m paying this kind of money for him, despite his current form and breakeven.</p>



<p><strong>Harrison&nbsp;Oliver ($119,900 GWS Giants DEF, B/E -11)</strong></p>



<p>A late in for Whitfield and another poor score.  Pass.</p>

<p>I’m expecting to see his name on the team sheet so holding.  There’s still cash to be made here.</p>

<p>I feel like you’ve made your bed here and you just need to hope Rankine out helps his role and scoring.  Keep upgrading around him for now.</p>

<p><strong>Izak&nbsp;Rankine ($504,900 Adelaide MID/FWD, B/E 130)</strong></p>



<p>Tough pill to swallow for owners.&nbsp; At the time of writing, I don’t have the timeline for his return from this latest injury, but it’s a moderate calf strain and probably needs to be sold.</p>



<p><strong>Brayden&nbsp;Cook ($381,600 Adelaide MID/FWD, B/E 93)</strong></p>



<p>Salvaged a score with a 42sc last quarter.&nbsp; It was looking absolutely dire at 3/4 time.&nbsp; On the bye and can be sold either this week or next.&nbsp; He’s done a great job for us.</p>



<p><strong>Michael&nbsp;Sellwood ($279,100 Western Bulldogs DEF, B/E 93)</strong></p>



<p>Dropped an absolute stinker in the win over the Dees.  I didn’t see that coming and he’s a priority trade out now before he starts bleeding cash.</p>

<p>Disappointing score against the Pies who are a very favourable matchup for defenders.&nbsp; Just ask Westy.&nbsp; You can either hold for one more or sell, I’m selling.</p>



<p><strong>Todd&nbsp;Marshall ($251,000 Port Adelaide DEF/FWD, B/E 68)</strong></p>



<p>On the bye and can be culled for a rookie.&nbsp; His role and job security have both taken a hit.</p>



<p><strong>Lachlan&nbsp;McAndrew ($409,000 Adelaide RUC, B/E 68)</strong></p>



<p>Scored fine again but his time is up on the bye.  Nice easy switch to Darcy Cameron, or upgrade to a big boy ruck.</p>

<p>Lost cash on his return and, if named, could lose cash again.&nbsp; I’ll probably hold him but he’s definitely on the chopping block.</p>

<p>He’s been doing well but the fixtures really stiffen up after the bye.  Team dependant but he can definitely go.</p>
