The Corridor | AFL Supercoach Round 12, everything you need to know


<p>In case you didn&#8217;t get to catch much footy in round 11, here is my rapid recap of the last week of footy:</p>



<p>The Hawks got the win over Adelaide, but it was the Crows boys leading the way Supercoach-wise. Milera (143) and Worrell (134) both exploded in the back line, while Berry (132) and Dawson (111) also put in big shifts in the middle of the field.</p>



<p>Richmond got the job done in Dreamtime, led by their big boys in Short (124) and Taranto (116), as well as an impressive first ton for Retschko (107). Parish (155) went nuclear with the highest score of the week, while Redman (131) and Merrett (126) also racked up.</p>



<p>Another win for Freo and ANOTHER tmonster performance from Treacy (126), his 7th ton of the season!!! Reid (126) and Jackson (119) also racked up while Sinclair (114) and Flanders (111) put together very solid outings.</p>



<p>A North ambush led by their big guns in LDU (141), Sheezel (125), and Xerri (114). Despite the loss, the Suns&#8217; big three stood up with Rowell (131), Anderson (126), and Petracca (118) all delivering good scores.</p>

<p>Holmes (128) led the way for the Cats in a massive win, which also saw solid contributions from Humphries (120), Baz (115), and Jezza (111). Bice (127) and Mills (110) led the way for Sydney, as Grundy (95) underwhelmed after his previous week&#8217;s heroics.</p>



<p>West Coast tried their best to disrupt the celebrations, led by B Williams (136) and McCarthy (117). But the Pies prevailed, led by the returning Cameron (133) and star boy Nick Daicos (124) back to his best.</p>



<p>Carlton made it two wins on the trot, led by Hewett (126) and Captain Crippa (116). For Port, the Hornet (128) led the way.</p>



<p>The Giants put on one of the crazier performances you will ever see, led by Clarry (142), Gothard (142), and Callaghan (104). For Brisbane, Neale (114) and Wilmot (100) were the only ones to reach triple figures.</p>



<p>A very much needed but narrow win for the Dogs, led by Richards (140), the Bont (119), and Sanders (118). For the Dees, it was Gawn (114) who once again led the way, while Kozzy (103) also bounced back with a triple-digit outing.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>AFL ROUND 11 PREVIEW</strong></h3>



<p>Round 11 will kick off at <strong>7:30pm AEST, Thursday, the 28th of May</strong>, with the Saints hosting the Hawks at Marvel.</p>



<p>Round 11 also marks the start of the mid-year bye rounds, with four teams on the bye this week. Adelaide, Gold Coast, North Melbourne, and Port.</p>



<p>For me, there is a clear-cut game of the week with the Brisbane Lions fresh off a belting, hosting a first-placed Dockers side who haven&#8217;t lost since round 1.</p>



<p>From a Supercoach perspective, there also seems to be a clear-cut game to target with Sydney hosting Richmond at the SCG, fresh off just their second loss of the season.</p>

<p>Each week, we will list players whose injury statuses have changed in the week prior. </p>

<p><strong>Izak Rankine (ADL):</strong> Suffered a moderate calf strain that is likely to see him miss a few weeks.</p>



<p><strong>Jarrod Berry (BRI): </strong>Listed as a test to return from a calf injury this week.</p>



<p><strong>Dayne Zorko (BRI): </strong>Reports are that he is likely to miss another two matches with soreness.</p>



<p><strong>Matt Carroll (CAR):</strong> Very unfortunate news with reports confirming Carroll suffered a season-ending knee injury.</p>



<p><strong>Jacob Weitering (CAR):</strong> Listed as a test to return from calf injury this week.</p>



<p><strong>Jamie Elliot (COL): </strong>Another bit of devastating news with confirmation that Elliot ruptured his ACL and is out for the season.</p>



<p><strong>Darcy Moore (COL): </strong>Suffered a moderate hamstring injury that is likely to keep him out for around a month.</p>



<p><strong>Essendon players: </strong>They would need a whole section just for their own injuries at this rate. You can check out their full injury list online, but at this stage, it is McGrath, Durham, and Guelfi who have been confirmed to be out this week.</p>

<p><strong>Hayden Young (FRE): </strong>Listed as a test to return from a concussion suffered in training.</p>



<p><strong>Caleb Serong (FRE): </strong>Suffered a calf injury and is expected to miss one more week.</p>



<p><strong>Sam Taylor (GWS): </strong>Listed as a test to play his first game of the season, recovering from a hamstring injury.</p>



<p><strong>Lachie Whitfield (GWS): </strong>Listed as a test to play this week after being a late withdrawal due to a minor hamstring issue.</p>



<p><strong>Jack Buckley (GWS): </strong>Suffered a hamstring injury and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.</p>



<p><strong>Will Day (HAW): </strong>Returned from a shoulder reconstruction via the VFL last weekend and is likely to play this week.</p>



<p><strong>Jack Gunston (HAW): </strong>Listed as a test to play this week, returning from a foot sprain.</p>



<p><strong>Richmond players: </strong>Similar to Essendon, too many injuries to cover.</p>



<p><strong>Tom Papley (SYD):</strong> Suffered a calf injury and is expected to miss 6 weeks.</p>



<p><strong>Tim English (WBD):</strong> Remains in concussion protocols for now.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>AFL SUPERCOACH BREAKEVENS</strong></h3>



<p>Breakevens are the score required for the player to either make money or lose money.</p>



<p>Price changes will occur after players have played three games, as they are based on a player&#8217;s 3-week average.</p>



<p>Generally speaking, when looking at who to trade in, heavily consider the players with low breakevens, as they will help make your team money.</p>



<p>Similarly, if you have some players with high breakevens in your team, maybe it’s time to consider cutting ties to ensure your team doesn’t lose too much value.</p>
