AFL Supercoach 2026: Bandit's Skippers - Round 7


<p>Last week was a straightforward one in terms of captaincy picks, with lots of popular premiums delivering big scores. Nick Daicos (140), Zak Butters (154) and Harry Sheezel (141) led the charge, and most would have had either the VC or C on one of those players. On the flip side, Max Gawn’s 105 or Marcus Bontempelli’s disastrous 66 would have had coaches a bit disappointed.</p>



<p>Let’s take a look at some of the best options for the week ahead. </p>

<p><strong>Brodie Grundy – L3 vs WBD: 179, 96, 86</strong></p>



<p>With Tim English still on the sidelines and the Bulldogs’ playing a debutant in the ruck, as a non-owner, I’m more than a little concerned about not having the VC on Grundy tonight. Looks primed for a monster score and should be a VC lock if he’s in your side.</p>



<p><strong>Max Gawn – L3 vs RICH: 174, 162, 98</strong></p>



<p>Big Max absolutely loves playing the Tigers on Anzac Eve and this year should be no exception coming up against a couple of (no disrespect) VFL rucks. Should dominate the hit outs and around the ground as he so often does. An easy VC pick this week if you don’t have Grundy.</p>

<p><strong>Christian Petracca – L3 vs ESS: 85, 99, 146</strong></p>



<p>Petracca’s record against the Hawks isn’t great but given he’s now got a game under his belt returning from injury he should be primed to continue where he left off in the early games of the season. The Hawks but little to no time in Zak Butters last week and if the same applies again I think Trac will be going 120 at least.</p>



<p><strong>Nick Daicos – L3 vs ESS: 125, 92, 128</strong></p>



<p>Nick just continues to elevate his game and that last quarter against Carlton last week was evidence of that. Absolutely loves Anzac Day, having put up his most recent tons against Essendon in those fixtures. Looks primed to do the same again this year.</p>

<p><strong>Zach Merrett – L3 vs COLL: 89, 145, 127</strong></p>



<p>Another one who absolutely loves playing on the biggest stage in the home and away season, but the knock is that Daicos is playing in the same game, so you have a choice to make. If it was me, I’d be sticking with the crowd on Nick.</p>



<p><strong>Max Holmes – L3 vs PORT: 154, 76, 94</strong></p>



<p>Max just continues to get it done for owners week in, week out at the moment and gets a nice match up against a Port side who although have Drew in their team as a stopper, do leak points to opposition midfielders. Could be a nice left field option again this week.</p>

<p><strong>Jack Sinclair – L3 vs WCE: 131, 140, 102</strong></p>



<p>I really like Sinclair as a captaincy option against West Coast this week. The Eagles are one of the softest match ups in the competition for designated kickers and Sinclair absolutely plays that role at the Saints. Should be good for a 120 score at a minimum this week.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Harry Sheezel – L3 vs GWS: 112, 130, 98</strong></p>



<p>Harry just continues to show his class week in week out at the moment and has really benefitted from the Kangaroos pretty soft early-season fixture. In saying that, does he cop the Toby Bedford tag this week? Something to think about and I think for that reason I’ll be letting him go for this week.&nbsp;</p>
