Final Word | NBA Supercoach Week 23, Trades, Skippers, Strategy

This is it. The final week of NBA SuperCoach is here.

For The Closers, we enter the week in 629th with one final chance to crack the top 500.

We scored 1,144, which was enough to take the SC Playbook Championship home.

This despite losing my Super POD Austin Reaves and Gun Luka Doncic to injury.

Just 51.5% of the top 10% captained Wemby.

Despite missing one game, he went huge with 178pts to comfortably claim top score for the week.

COOPER FLAGG ERUPTED AGAIN ‼️

TONIGHT: 45 PTS, 8 REB, 9 AST, 2 STL
FRIDAY: 51 PTS, 6 REB, 3 STL

HE'S NOW THE YOUNGEST PLAYER (19 YEARS, 105 DAYS) IN NBA HISTORY TO RECORD 45+ PTS IN BACK-TO-BACK GAMES 🤯 pic.twitter.com/Tdt1JYviCv
— NBA (@NBA) April 6, 2026

In hindsight, Cooper Flagg was the obvious POD play this week. He exploded for 133 points. Damn.

Kevin Durant was in third spot with 131 points, with Houston teammates Sengun 111 points and Thompson 110 points in 7th and 8th respectively.

Jason Tatum had his best week since his return with 116 points to sit 4th, while Filipowski turned into prime Tim Duncan to produce 114 points.

Popular trade in Tyrese Maxey produced for new owners with 102 points, but Harden, Banchero, Barnes, and Giddey were very disappointing.

Guns

With all our guns on a 4-game week, those who managed their team value and schedule well will be rewarded in the final week of the season.

Joker is the 1st obvious trade-in. Just captain him and move on.

With Luka out, he will now need to be traded with Maxey or SGA, obvious targets if you don’t own.

The trick this week will be trying to figure out who will play max games.

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA TONIGHT:

41 POINTS
18 REBOUNDS
3 ASSISTS
3 BLOCKS
16/22 FGM
29 MINUTES

MVP PERFORMANCE. 🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/TStXYqfVIE
— Hoop Central (@TheHoopCentral) April 2, 2026

I’m not sure Wemby will, given Spurs cannot improve their seeding.

I obviously wouldn’t sell, but I’m not sure you should captain.

A team that does have plenty to play for is Atlanta, meaning Jalen Johnson comes back in.

Kawhi has 4 games this week; however, I just don’t see him playing all 4 with the play-in starting straight after the regular season finishes.

Midrange

This week will be decided in the midrange.

I’m running the 3-headed monster in Houston, so Sengun, Durant, and Thompson are all great plays.

Anthony Edwards is not playing every night and is too risky to own just before the playoffs.

Donovan Mitchell and James Harden remain viable options, although Harden failed to fire last week.

Should Jamal Murray make an All-NBA team?? pic.twitter.com/dTc9nTGQtW
— Real App (@realapp) April 2, 2026

Murray is close to a must-own for me this week with Denver still fighting for a top 3 seeding.

Jaylen Brown has been very good, but he probably gets a rest at some stage. I’d be wary.

In a week we want certainty; Barnes, Banchero, and Avdija have been too inconsistent. I’ll be staying away.

Now let’s talk about LeBron James.

No Luka, no Reaves, and desperately trying to hold onto the 3rd seed, I think it’s time to lock and load on The King.

Cheapies

Cheapies are becoming less relevant as our squads balloon in value.

If you own Harper, Williams, GG, Grimes, and Raynaud like I do, then all can be either upgraded or downgraded at any time to ensure you have max cash to spend in the final 2 weeks of the season.

LEBRON JAMES TONIGHT:

30 POINTS
15 ASSISTS
9 REBOUNDS
12/22 FGM
39 MINUTES

UNBELIEVABLE STAT-LINE AT 41. 👑 pic.twitter.com/WFij3bpSDj
— Hoop Central (@TheHoopCentral) April 6, 2026

POD’s and Super POD’s

LeBron James LAL – 2.4% owned

For all the reasons outlined above, I think this is a no-brainer. Add the fact that we get to own LeBron at least once in Supercoach, it’s go time.

Bam Adebayo MIA – 6.4% owned

Still playing for a playoff spot, we have seen what this man can do when he’s in the mood.

Julius Randle MIN – 1.6% owned

Randle is very hot and cold, and catching him at the right time has proven difficult. I actually really like him as a trade-in with Antman due back. Should allow him to play more of his natural game.

Schedule
