NBA Supercoach Final Word | Trades, Skippers, PODs Week 3

NBA SuperCoach will test your patience more than any other format.

Expect players on maximum games to miss the occasional back-to-back or rest due to schedule demands. Unfortunately, also expect injuries. If they’re highly owned, think Luka and Haliburton, you’re fine. Everyone is in the same boat. But if you had an under-owned asset, think Sengun or Edwards, it hurts.

Luka sat the Clippers game on the second night of a back-to-back with back tightness. Haliburton has a mild hamstring strain and will miss at least 2 weeks. Ant scored 42 in his first game of the week then needed a knee procedure that will keep him out for up to 2 months. Sengun was looking great after a 49 in game 1, then missed the next 2 with low back soreness.

Risk management becomes a big part of your strategy. Reviewing those back-to-backs is necessary.

Brandon Miller has the hot hand over his last 3 games:

— 34.7 PPG
— 45% FG
— 37% 3PT
— 19/22 FT
— 8.7 RPG

Career-best three straight games with 30+ points. 🔥 pic.twitter.com/F3Tz246Yin
— r/CharlotteHornets (@HornetsReddit) October 30, 2026

Then there’s a principle I forgot from last year. Patience. I was anything but with Brandon Miller, and he burned me big time. I moved him on for Ty Jerome after one bad week. Miller had scores of 40, 32, 13, and 25 for 110. Jerome had never produced what he did in week 1 and came crashing back to earth with 13 and 7, then missed the Kings game with injury. 20 for the week. What a disaster.

Never overreact to one good or bad week.

For me, it was three trades going into the week. Miller to Jerome, Randle to Tatum and, with the benefit of hindsight, the big one. Wemby to Jalen Johnson. Randle to Tatum was the only one that worked. Tatum had 118 to Randle’s 55. Wemby had 147 from 3 games while Johnson managed 81 from 4. Ouch.

The result was a disappointing 853 for the week. Patience. It’s a long season.

The rookies kept doing their job. Wilson was steady again with scores of 18, 23, and 25, and Lendeborg had 99, finishing with a 40 against the Clippers. Boozer had a triple-double against Portland, 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists for 36, from my bench. Dybantsa finally debuted with 17 and 19.

147 points in 3 games, Victor Wembanyama currently leads all Supercoach scorers for the week; fair to say Sumsky got this one spot on 💪

Were you a Wemby owner for his monster score this week? pic.twitter.com/1JiWpBdSUc
— SC Playbook I Supercoach NBA (@scplaybooknba) November 1, 2026

GUNS

What is there left to say about Wemby? Scores of 48, 54, and 45 for 147 from 3 games. An average of 49. If you don’t own, you know what to do. Spurs play 4 and 4.

Giannis is the clear No.3 gun right now. Scores of 36, 37, and 52 for 125. The 52 came from 31 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists against Indiana. Miami plays 4 this week.

Joker is Joker. Scores of 33, 34, and 31 for 98. Not flashy, just reliable. With his price set to drop, he’s definitely a pick-up in week 5.

Luka had 43 and 36 before sitting out the Clippers game with back tightness on the second half of the back-to-back. Then he finished the week with the score of the round. 45 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals against Toronto for 60. 139 from 3 games. The back looks fine. Lakers have 4 games this week. The safe captain option.

SGA’s scores have been disappointing. Scores of 24, 18, and 22 for 64. Like last season, I’m not convinced he’s a must-have, and with his price set to drop, you can wait.

Steph is gonna Steph, and he is Stephing. Scores of 31, 44, and 31 for 106 from 3 games before sitting out the Clippers game. Monitor the injury report.

Is Cooper Flagg a must-have? Scores of 46, 26, and 42 for 114. The 46 against Miami was the complete package. 29 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 steals, and 3 blocks. Kyrie being back hasn’t slowed him down. Dallas plays 4 and 4 over the next two weeks.

Ant is out for up to 2 months. If you own him, he’s an obvious trade out. Jalen Johnson had a quiet week with 81 from 4 games after leading the guns in week 1. Don’t panic, but there are options.

JAYSON TATUM OVER THE LAST 4 GAMES:

31.3 PPG
7.0 RPG
7.0 APG
48.2% FG
35.3 MPG

JT is playing at an ELITE level. 🔥 https://t.co/dZsA9Ypx9W pic.twitter.com/iv8sbCBLYG
— Hoop Central (@TheHoopCentral) October 31, 2026

Midrange

Tatum averaged 29.5 across his 4 games for 118, including a 41 against Brooklyn. If you followed my advice and brought him in, well done.

Speaking of patience. Brandon Miller had 110 from 4 games after scoring just 29 in week 1. Volume shooters will have off weeks. Check the box score before making a move. I didn’t.

The Cleveland bigs were the surprise package. Jarrett Allen had 105 and Evan Mobley 102 from 4 games each. Cleveland plays 4 and 4 over the next fortnight. Both are great buys.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 92 from 3 games. Jamal Murray had 94 from 3, finishing with a 40 against Phoenix. Zion had 88 from 3, and Bam Adebayo had 87 from 3, including a 40 against Indiana. Kevin Durant had 96 from 4.

Kyrie had 81 from 3, including a 39 against Houston. Sabonis kept his consistency with scores of 34, 26, and 30.

On the injury front, Haliburton (hamstring) is out at least 2 more weeks, and Paolo Banchero (high ankle sprain) is out for multiple weeks. Sengun returned from his back soreness with 21 against OKC. A risky hold.

Austin Reaves needs watching. 31 against Portland, then 6, 16, and 12, with turnovers hurting him. 65 from 4 games. I think this is a blip, but with too many good options this week, he may need to go.

Walker Kessler started slowly with 17 and 22 but finished with 30 and 38 for 107 from 4 games. Dyson Daniels had only 50 from 4 games after 87 in week 1.

Darius Acuff is the 2nd fastest player in NBA history to reach 150+ career points.

Only Wilt Chamberlain was faster. pic.twitter.com/uiQMqS2MzE
— Real App (@realapp) November 1, 2026

Cheapies

Remember Darius Acuff Jr? Last week he was the warning. This week he had scores of 12, 35, and 32 for 79. The 35 came from 34 points, 6 rebounds, and 14 assists against New Orleans. He’s not playing winning basketball, and his teammates look frustrated, but while he’s jacking up shots, he’s a buy. Hold if you own.

Boozer was awesome with 81, while Wilson continues to make cash with 66. If you don’t own them by now, what are you doing?

Dybantsa is back from the ankle with 17 and 19. Lendeborg had scores of 37, 22, 0, and 40 for 99. He may be a hold until after Christmas. Peterson continues to plod along with scores of 14, 17, and 15.

With Ant out, Ayo Dosunmu and Jaden McDaniels have stepped up. Dosunmu had 85 from 4 games, finishing with a 36 against San Antonio. McDaniels had 88. Minnesota plays 4 this week.

Steinbach played 1 minute all week. Avoid.

PODs and Super PODs

Ayo Dosunmu MIN – 2.1% owned

Ant’s absence opens up shots and minutes. 85 points from 4 games, finishing with 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals for 36 against San Antonio. We have seen what he can do when given the opportunity to start. I’m bringing him in.

Evan Mobley CLE – 1.2% owned

102 from 4 games, including scores of 30 and 31. Cleveland plays 4 and 4. Probably too many other options in the position.

Deni Avdija POR – 0.9% owned

75 from 3 games with scores of 24, 30, and 21. The 30 came from 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists against Memphis without a single turnover. The ball is in his hands, and Portland play 4 this week.

Anthony Davis WAS – 0.8% owned

84 from 3 games with scores of 30, 22. and 32. The 32 came from 25 points and 13 rebounds against Charlotte. Healthy, playing big minutes, and Washington plays 4 and 4.

Zion Williamson NOP – 0.6% owned

88 from 3 games. His 35 against Sacramento came from 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. New Orleans plays 4 and 4. Health is the only question.

Ty Jerome to Jeremiah Fears. The Jerome experiment is over.

Sengun to Wemby.

Boost. Jalen Johnson to Giannis. A down week for JJ and Giannis is the clear No.3 gun right now with a soft schedule.

VC Wemby, C Giannis

Good luck all, and remember, stay patient.
