AFL Supercoach 2026: Bandit's Skipper's - Round 3


<p>Round 2 delivered some big captain scores and well done to those who backed in Tristan Xerri against West Coast, who delivered a monster 199 and is the clubhouse leader for the biggest score of the season to date.</p>



<p>Round 3 has some very appealing match ups again, so let’s run through some options to make sure you nail your VC and C picks for this week and get a good score on the board.</p>

<p><strong>Max Holmes – </strong>L3 vs ADEL: 147, 69, 95</p>



<p>The Geelong star has quietly gone about his business and could be a huge point of difference option as a VC play this week. His most recent game against Adelaide was huge and I’m tipping he’ll put up another good score on Thursday night with the Crows’ battling a few injuries. Just make sure you’ve got a safe C option to back him up.</p>



<p><strong>Nick Daicos</strong> – L3 vs GWS: 66, 131, 125</p>



<p>Should be cherry ripe coming off the early season bye and with no obvious run with players in the GWS side, should score well again this week. My only concern would be does he have the ceiling of some of the other players we have available this week?</p>

<p><strong>Tristan Xerri – </strong>L3 vs ESS: 146, 96, 70</p>



<p>Has started the season red hot with two big scores. Comes up against Lachie Blakiston this week who’s had a tough time of things so far against the Meek and Reeves combo and then Jordon Sweet last week. I suspect Xerri will be licking his lips for another big performance and simply must be in your captaincy plans for this week if you have him in your side.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Harry Sheezel – </strong>L3 vs ESS: 120, 117, 72</p>



<p>If you’re not a Xerri owner, Sheezel might be the next best option. Recent record is very good and Essendon has now leaked big points to opposition midfielders in two games which suggests that may continue to happen. Honourable to mention to Luke Davies-Uniacke as well, who could also have a day out against the Dons after a solid game against West Coast.</p>

<p><strong>Zak Butters – </strong>L3 vs WCE:<strong> </strong>154, 117, 94</p>



<p>Bounced back from a sub-100 score in Round 1 with an emphatic 135 against Essendon last week. I expect him to have to shoulder even more of the midfield load this week with Connor Rozee out with a hamstring injury. Should have his way with the Eagles on the way to another big score, but with Rozee out he’s even more of a target for the opposition as Port’s best player.</p>



<p><strong>Max Gawn</strong> – L3 vs CARL: 128, 111, 103</p>



<p>Gawn just continues to find a way to score well even when his team is soundly beaten. Still racked up a 141 against the Jackson/Darcy combo last week and gets a much easier match up here in Pittonet/Reidy. By his standards his outings against Carlton have been just okay, but the Dees need him to keep standing up and you’d be brave to bet against him.</p>
