NBA Supercoach | Week 15: Buy, Hold & Sell

Everyone’s favourite time of the week where I pretend to know&nbsp;what’s going to happen in the next 7 days of NBA Supercoach based on&nbsp;player form,&nbsp;injury news,&nbsp;upcoming schedules and an intimate knowledge of&nbsp;2010’s basketball.&nbsp;Is&nbsp;that all relevant? Only time will tell.&nbsp;



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">BUY</h3>



Nikola Jokic (DEN, C)



He’s back, get him in. That is all.

Brandon Miller (CHA, SF/SG)



It’s Miller time in Charlotte, with Brandon taking over as the Hornets&#8217; dominant scorer in recent weeks, even in a team with a multitude of options. 



Averaging almost 25 points in the last fortnight to go with 5.5 rebounds and 3 assists per game, Miller might have cracked the 100 SC point mark for the first time this season in Week 14, but he’s averaging 80+ over the last 3 weeks, and at a budget friendly $11.7M (at time of writing), he looks a strong add. 



Joel Embiid&nbsp;(PHI,&nbsp;C)&nbsp;



It’s finally time for the Embiid conversation. 



Even writing the words, I can feel the red injury flag getting ready to pop up on his profile, but his form has become too much to ignore. 



How does 34 / 10 / 6 over the last 15 days hit you? 



Yes, he’s still missing the odd game with injury management, but Philly have 4 games this upcoming week and head into a 5-gamer next week, so you could probably give him a night off and still be happy with the overall score, especially from a player around the $16M mark. 



It’s all care and no responsibility with the big man, though, and I won’t be held responsible for any emotional damage done should he go down on Tuesday.

Pascal Siakam (IND, PF/SF)



It’s been a weird season for Pascal. 



It’s a dumpster fire from a team perspective, with the Pacers fighting hard to not have the worst record in the league. 



But through a personal / SuperCoach lens Siakam has been as productive as ever, with his 24 / 7 / 4 per game translating to a top 20 ranking in total SC points. 



At $14.75M he’s actually the cheapest player in that top 20 as well, so with Indiana playing 9 games over the next 2 weeks, Pascal is a no-frills option that will quietly deliver you a comfortable 25-30 SC PPG…just don’t tune into to watch too many games live. 



Ty Jerome (MEM,&nbsp;SG/PG)



This one depends on your appetite for a longshot. 



If you’re at the point in the season where you want to spice it up a bit, then maybe Ty Jerome is your man. 



He has spark plug potential in any given game and looks like getting a good run for the foreseeable future while Ja is out injured. 



Jerome’s season debut on the weekend saw an encouraging 20 points and 6 assists from 20 minutes, and hopefully, all those numbers will go up as he gets more game time in his legs. 



He’ll cost you less than $10M and plays 4 games in Week 15. 



One to watch if nothing else.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">HOLD</h3>



Deni Avdija (POR, SF/PF)



It’s been a lean few weeks for Deni owners, all 12% of you. 



His back troubles have seen him not just missing games but also resulting in lower output in the games he has played. 



14 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists over the last 7 days make for tough reading compared to the broader season numbers. 



If you’ve come this far without dropping him, then another week is probably not going to hurt you any further, and with the Blazers running the gauntlet off the play-in game, they’re likely to keep trying to win games for the foreseeable future. 



Jamal Murray&nbsp;(DEN, PG/SG)



The Joker is back in action. 



Great news for everyone, except every other player on the Denver roster. 



Murray has been a must own over the last month or so and delivered for owners to the tune of 28 / 4 / 8 per game. 



While he’s naturally going to drop off from those kinds of numbers with Jokic back pulling the strings, there’s still plenty of eating left to be done while the big Serb gets his sea legs back under him. 



The Nuggets do only have 3 games this week (as do most teams), but head into 5 next week, so treat this one as a “let’s see,” and we’ll review in 7 days’ time.

James Harden (LAC, PG/SG)



Harden missed Monday’s game (Aus time) against Phoenix, but don’t rush to trim The Beard from your roster just yet. 



The Clippers have 4 games in Week 15, and the way Harden and Kawhi have been playing over the last month or so, you might even keep them, knowing they would miss a game. 



Harden himself has raised the bat for 100 SC pointers in consecutive weeks and is seeing a team high 33 minutes per game, which is more than enough runway for him to continue to deliver. 



Of course, make sure to check his status before the lockout, just in case there are more missed games than expected. 



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">SELL</h3>



Donovan Mitchell (CLE, SG/PG)



Donovan has consistently been a tough read this season. 



Game to game, even quarter to quarter if you watch Cavs games, he makes you feel like you made the wrong choice adding him to your roster. 



But come the end of the week, you look down and see he’s managed another 100-point week and is actually sitting 7th overall in SC points, so you forget it all and go again the next week.  



This week, though, there are no such internal squabbles to be had as the Cavs are the lone team to play 2 games, meaning there are a plethora of other guards out there to stress over. 



Giannis&nbsp;(MIL, PF/C)



It could be an interesting week or so for Giannis. 



Last week he did his calf, self-diagnosed he’d be out for 4-6 weeks, which the Bucks confirmed, then he has been included in every trade rumour on the internet since then. 



All the smoke would have you believe that he’s already played his last home game in Milwaukee, so by the time he’s back on court, it could very well be in a different uniform. 



Either way, he’s currently still owned by almost 29% of SuperCoach players, so if that’s you, then do yourself a favour, cash him in and go shopping with a cool $20M in your back pocket.

Josh Giddey&nbsp;(CHI, PG/SF)



We tried. We really tried.



A lot of people drafted The Giddler prior to Week 15 with the Bulls playing 5 games, and he hurt us badly. 



Things started okay with a nice 19 / 6 / 7 performance off the bench against the Lakers, but from there he lurched into a 10-point effort vs Indiana before missing 3 straight games against Miami. 



The hammy looks to be an issue that will need ongoing management, and that could mean continued bench minutes in the games that he does play. 



Use this week as recon, and if things turnaround then Chicago heads into 5 games next week so we can bring him back from the cold then.
