Decision Time: Answering the big questions


<p>G’day everyone,</p>



<p>Interesting week coming up with some mismatches brewing
combined with possible wet conditions from Saturday onwards. </p>



<p>Personally I’ve started to hit a little bit of form with 1,351
to get on the edge of the top 10%. </p>



<p>Fingers crossed the SC Gods stay friendly, though with
Crichton and Api both injured and Tesi Nui dropped before his peak I fear their
wrath once more! </p>



<p>But that’s 2020 for you. Just stay on board the
rollercoaster and enjoy!</p>



<p>Below I’ll delve into a few of the key questions for this week, comment on a few key matters and take a look at another scoring interpretation.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Question 1</strong></h2>



<p><strong>Cameron Smith or Damien Cook?</strong></p>



<p>I genuinely think it’s hard to go wrong with either of these
boys. Possibly the cheaper price tag of Smith makes him easier to get to
pending your money situation. </p>



<p>Cook is particularly enticing across the next four weeks
with match ups including St George, Brisbane and North Queensland. </p>



<p>However, Smith plays Brisbane at Suncorp this week and the
Dogs in two weeks. Personally I find them very hard to split. </p>



<p>If it helps, Smith has a slightly higher floor with his goal-kicking
whilst Cook possibly has a higher ceiling as he can go ballistic with his
running game. </p>



<p>It’s a flip of a coin for me, just don’t lose too much sleep over it because they are both guns, just lock one in <strong>OR</strong> both and enjoy!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Question 2</strong></h2>



<p><strong>Cleary or Munster ?</strong></p>



<p>I’m huge on Munster, but I think with Cleary goal-kicking
and with Penrith’s run for the rest of the season he is the man. </p>



<p>Ideally you would be able to get both in. Munster could be
anything this week against a battling Broncos at a fast-paced Suncorp Stadium,
but long term Cleary is the man if you can only get one. </p>



<p>Head-to-head wise for finals, Penrith’s run is golden! Though Munster’s isn’t bad either…</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Just do it already!</strong></h2>



<p>Despite the price I think you still need to do absolutely
anything you can to get Teddy in and captain him over the next 2-3 weeks. </p>



<p>He may not drop much below what he is now unless he has a
quietish game. </p>



<p>I would personally be dropping a forward gun to a nuff and
getting Teddy in if this is what is needed.</p>



<p>If you don’t, hope it pours rain and he somehow only gets 80 odd. But 150+ is on the cards weekly.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Powerplay</strong></h2>



<p>I am super tempted by Brett Morris over the next three weeks.
He has a huge price tag, but he could easily go back-to-back 100s. </p>



<p>For people like myself who have Crichton to sell, perhaps
you look at him as a huge power play move and hope he goes off before selling
him after the Chook’s soft run. </p>



<p>One concern is any lowish scores will see him bleed cash, so
be prepared for that possibility and also the minor groin injury from the other
week which is a worry. </p>



<p>Will he rest in one of the upcoming matches? He may not, but
if he does Ryan Hall becomes a huge short term play. </p>



<p>Additionally, Ikuvalu who I already own could be in for a big few weeks. In short, the Chooks wingers could have field days in the short term if you can get one or two in.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Time to move on</strong></h2>



<p>If injuries allow, it’s time to upgrade or downgrade those
guys who you wouldn’t consider elite. I’m looking at guys like George Williams,
Jarome Luai, Joe Tapine, Toby Rudolph, Blayke Brailey, Jaydn Su’A, Jamayne Taunoa-Brown
and these sorts of players. </p>



<p>If in doubt just downgrade them to a nuff (non playing basement price cheapie), and use that cash to upgrade elsewhere! It’s very satisfying, believe me.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Intercepts in SuperCoach </strong></h2>



<p>I wrote an article last week around scoring interpretations
and I can confirm that I have no idea what’s doing with intercepts. </p>



<p>Personally I’ve had Hall and Talau both take one in the last
two weeks and not get paid. </p>



<p>I know Lomax missed out on one a few weeks ago. I will try
and figure out what is going on there but for now don’t expect an intercept to
get paid. </p>



<p>I’m half thinking it needs to be a traditional intercept
where you run out of the line to nab it. Anything else it doesn’t seem to get
paid.</p>
