The Corridor | AFL Supercoach Round 3, everything you need to know


<p>In a week that had four teams on the bye and already had many managers scrambling to field a decent side, the Supercoach footy gods were definitely not on our sides.</p>



<p>The injury gods, to be exact, who appeared to cast a hamstring spell across the league this weekend, targeting some of the most highly-owned Supercoach players in the process.</p>



<p>Christian Petracca and Connor Rozee, to be exact.</p>



<p>Injuries aside, the Supercoach week was well and truly decided in the very last game of the round by Big X&#8217;s 199!!!</p>



<p>Congratulations to those who owned, and special congratulations to those who captained. </p>



<p>With so much injury carnage and rookie roulette in full swing, is it time to hit the trade boost button?</p>



<p>I think yes&#8230;</p>



<p>UPDATE: News has just come through that we have yet another victim of this week&#8217;s hamstring curse, none other than the most traded-in player this week, <strong>Milan Murdock</strong>. Most traded tables will be updated later in the week once managers react to the injury news.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>AFL ROUND 2 RAPID RECAP</strong></h3>



<p>If you want an in-depth recap of round 2, make sure to check out <strong><a href="https://scplaybook.com.au/blog/2026/03/23/afl-supercoach-round-2-wrap-9-things-we-learnt" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Dylan Bolch's weekly wrap">Dylan Bolch&#8217;s weekly wrap</a>,</strong> but in case you didn&#8217;t get to catch much footy in round 2, here is my rapid recap of the last week of footy:</p>



<p>Hawthorn fought past Sydney, with little Supercoach relevance from both sides. Grundy (135) bounced back, top-scoring.</p>



<p>The Dogs keep rolling, thanks once again to The Bont (141). English (114) solid again, so was Worrell (123).</p>



<p>Underwhelming scores all round as the Suns beat up Richmond. Petracca (86) hamstrung, Anderson (96) sub-par, and Grlj (43) ouch!</p>



<p>Premo defenders stand up as Saints just beat out GWS. Ash (130), Nas (122), and Sinclair (118) all looked the goods.</p>



<p>Gawn (141) proved he is still one of the best. Brayshaw (121) and Clark (119) bounced back. Jackson (113) stayed solid while Serong (68) flopped.</p>



<p>Butters (135) delivered for those who held faith and captained. Merrett (107) looked good again in a well-beaten side.</p>



<p>Tristan Xerri (199) went NUCLEAR, defining the Supercoach week. Sheezel (124) extremely solid, and so were popular West Coast cheapies Robertson (95) and Murdock (92).</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>AFL ROUND 3 PREVIEW</strong></h3>



<p>Round 3 will kick off at <strong>7:30pm AEDT, Thursday, the 26th of March</strong>, with Geelong hosting Adelaide at GMHBA.</p>



<p>Once again, another four teams that played opening round will be on the bye this week: Hawthorn, Sydney, Bulldogs, and Gold Coast.</p>



<p>The matchup of the round would have to be Geelong vs Adelaide, as both teams would love a big statement win on Thursday night.</p>



<p>From a Supercoach perspective, Fremantle vs Richmond at Optus appears to be one to target.</p>



<p>Managers would also be backing their North premos to go well against a struggling Bombers side.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>KEY AVAILABILITY WATCH</strong></h3>



<p>Each week, we will list players whose injury statuses have changed in the week prior. </p>



<p>Keep your eyes out for Team Lists, where we will find out a lot more about most of these injuries. </p>



<p><strong>Callum Ah Chee (ADL):</strong> Suffered a serious hamstring injury, expected to miss 6-8 weeks.</p>



<p><strong>Jeremey Howe and Darcy Moore (COL):</strong> Both in contention to return this week from calf injuries, subject to test.</p>



<p><strong>Mason Redman (ESS): </strong>Suffered a meniscus tear and is expected to miss an extended period of time.</p>



<p><strong>Dyson Sharp (ESS): </strong>Hurt his ankle vs Port, still awaiting further news on the extent of the injury. </p>



<p><strong>Hayden Young (FRE): </strong>Missed last week due to hamstring issue, in contention to play this week.</p>



<p><strong>Christian Petracca (GCS): </strong>Suffered a hamstring injury, expected to be out for the &#8220;medium term&#8221;, probably 4-6 weeks.</p>



<p><strong>Connor Rozee (PTA): </strong>Expected to miss an extended period of time after suffering a serious hamstring injury</p>



<p><strong>Miles Bergman (PTA): </strong>Wasn&#8217;t able to finish the game due to ankle injury, awaiting updates.</p>



<p><strong>Tom Lynch (RIC): </strong>Suffered a hamstring injury, expected to miss 4-5 weeks.</p>



<p><strong>Toby Nankervis (RIC): </strong>Suffered a hamstring injury, expected to miss 6-8 weeks.</p>



<p><strong>Isaac Heeney (SYD):</strong> Missed game vs Hawthorn with hamstring issue, expected to return this week.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>AFL SUPERCOACH BREAKEVENS</strong></h3>



<p>Breakevens are the score required for the player to either make money or lose money.</p>



<p>Price changes will occur after players have played three games, as they are based on a player&#8217;s 3-week average.</p>



<p>That means this week we will see price changes from players from the Hawks, Swans, Bulldogs, Suns, Giants, and Saints.</p>



<p>Nonetheless, going early on some of these other low-breakeven options could also be a move, although there is more risk involved in that.</p>



<p>Generally speaking, when looking at who to trade in, heavily consider the players with low breakevens, as they will help make your team money.</p>



<p>Similarly, if you have some players with high breakevens in your team, maybe it’s time to consider cutting ties to ensure your team doesn’t lose too much value.</p>
