EPL Supercoach | Buy, Hold, Sell Gameweek 6

Man, what an international break. Three weeks have felt like a whole season, especially with what’s occurred in that time:

The biggest Premier League football scandal in history. Manchester City is guilty of 115 FFP breaches but will appeal. Will this influence performance?

International match injuries to Tzolis, O’Reilly, Havertz, Gakpo, van Hecke, Dorgu, Brobbey, and concerns over Isak, Konsa, Palmer, Joao Pedro, and Haaland, all of which are TBC but should be okay.

Cristiano Ronaldo dummy spit… but that’s not relevant, just fun.

There hasn’t been too much good news, to be fair, but we soldier on the best we can and wait for more news to filter in over the coming days and press conferences.

Buy

Johan Manzambi (£4.50M, Aston Villa MID, B/E -14)

Fresh off a goal, assist and 26 points against Tottenham, he comes in as the most sought-after asset in GW6.

On the bubble and should make a quick £4M, making the Swiss international the number one downgrade or sideways option.

Bukayo Saka (£11M, Arsenal FWD, B/E 8)

Scored 10 in a three-nil loss, which shows how much baseline stats he racks up. Only missed double digits once, and that was a nine, so I’m keen on him as a set-and-forget pick.

His fitness looks good, and he was doing the stuff for England in the break too.

Embed from Getty Images

Hold

Pascal Groß (£13.02M, Brighton MID, B/E -17)

He’s killing it, the highest scorer in the game, and good luck to owners, but I’m not paying this much for him, even with the breakeven and forecast much higher price.

It’ll turn back, and he’ll become an option to consider again down the track.

Chema Andrés (£3.90M, Brighton MID, B/E -14)

The young Spanish defensive mid is rookie priced and on the bubble, but will he keep his spot? I’d be checking the starting lineup before committing to him.

Embed from Getty Images

Jannik Schuster (£5.72M, Brentford DEF, B/E -10)

The young Austrian CB recorded 24 points against Chelsea thanks to an assist and clean sheet in their demolition of the Blues.

However, I’m not convinced he’s a regular starter, especially with Collins and van den Berg nearing returns.

Oscar Bobb (£5.72M, Fulham MID, B/E 8)

Keep him for this nice run of three fixtures against the promoted sides.

Embed from Getty Images

Martin Ødegaard (£8.68M, Arsenal MID, B/E 14)

A little ankle scare, but he played the final UEFA Nations League game and should be fine for the weekend.

Had four assists in the international break and I expect the skipper to lead the form reversal for the Gunners.

Bruno Fernandes (£13.10M, Manchester United MID, B/E 29)

If Manzambi can score 26 against Tottenham, so can Bruno.

Just forget about the price fluctuations and captain him as he’ll be involved in everything.

Embed from Getty Images

Sell

Brian Brobbey (£6.22M, Sunderland FWD, B/E -14)

People are buying with the negative breakeven, but he’s more of a trade out due to the severe hamstring injury. Reverse those trades ASAP.

Mamadou Sangaré (£4.56M, Brentford MID, B/E 8)

Went from a must-have to must-sell in a matter of weeks. Not secured a starting place despite the big transfer fee to bring him across.

Very easy move to Manzambi for owners.

Embed from Getty Images

Alexander Isak (£8.82M, Liverpool FWD, B/E 14)

He’s made £4M, and it honestly might be enough. There are also major concerns around his fitness (thigh and toe), and the upcoming fixtures aren’t great.

Coupled with Liverpool looking more defensively solid, rather than free-flowing attack, I’m leaning towards moving on him.

My Plans

OUT Alexander Isak

IN Bukayo Saka

VC Bukayo Saka

C Bruno Fernandes

Bank £380k
