NFL Supercoach | End-of-Season Dream Team

We are now six weeks into the NFL season, and have a really solid sample size to work off when assessing players&#8217; Supercoach output so far this season. 



By this time in the season, I would hope that cash generation has been flowing nicely and that your team value is looking healthy.



What might not be looking as healthy is your trade count, and that is why I think it is important to start locking in season keepers into our sides.



As we have seen over the last couple of weeks, injuries alone will probably cost us the rest of our trades, so we really do not want to be wasting any trades on short-term plays, especially with so long left of the season still.



This leads into my article today&#8230;My End-of-Season Dream Team!



The rules for this are as follows:



<ol>
<li>No salary cap: This means the team might not be the most realistic, but honestly, with how most teams are looking, it might be more achievable than we think</li>



<li>Yes, it may be boring: A lot of these players are highly owned and for good reason. I am going to choose who I think is best, not most fun, sorry (I will mention more fun alternatives though, don&#8217;t worry)</li>



<li>Looking forward, not back: Although these selections are very much based on a player&#8217;s performance over the first six weeks, these are the players who I think will score the best for the rest of the season</li>



<li>We are skipping Defences and Kickers, sorry, not sorry</li>
</ol>



Now that we are hopefully on the same page, let&#8217;s get into it!

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Quarterbacks</h3>



Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)



Currently, only the third-highest-averaging quarterback, I still think Allen will finish the season as QB1.



To think that he is yet to actually explode this season, and to still be within a few points of the top-averaging player in Supercoach, should tell us enough. 



The man can do it all, and the ceiling with both his running and throwing ability is as high as anyone&#8217;s. 



The Bills haven&#8217;t quite figured it out yet and are now on the bye following two straight prime-time defeats.



I expect them to find form led by none other than their superstar quarterback.

Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)



Now this was really tight between Mahomes and Lamar, but I have given Mahomes the nod. 



Slightly unexpected to some of us, Mahomes leads all Supercoach players so far this season with an outstanding average of 48.7.



He has been given the keys to the offense, as he should have, and finally gets his number one receiver back this week in Rashee Rice.



I expect Mahomes to continue his hot start as he carries the Chiefs to yet another year of playoff football.



Honourable mentions



Like I said, Lamar Jackson was very unlucky to miss out, and it was honestly a flip of the coin between him and Mahomes.



If you want some more of a POD option, despite the slower start, I love the look of Jayden Daniels.



As he continues to get healthier after his early-season knee sprain and gets his number one receiver in Terry McLaurin back, I think Daniels is one to watch.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Running Backs</h3>



Bijan Robinson (Atlanta Falcons)



Not much explanation is needed; the man is simply a beast.



Coming off a 65-point game last week, Supercoach managers were finally made fully aware of Bijan&#8217;s capabilities.



With only 3 touchdowns on the season so far, he is still averaging 44.2.



The ceiling is as high as anyone in Supercoach.



Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts)



Now this is one that might not have been anticipated by many in the preseason, but that&#8217;s because not many of us predicted that the Colts would be one of the best offenses in the league.



This is built on an elite offensive line and an elite running back behind them in JT.



The sheer volume of touchdown opportunities he is getting from his redzone attempts is a Supercoacher&#8217;s dream.

Christian McCaffrey (San Francisco 49ers)



With how he has been playing, we could almost classify him as a receiver instead of a running back.



CMC leads all running backs with a ridiculous 46 receptions on the season so far, with the next best running back being Achance on 29.



Genuinely crazy stuff.



You might expect this receiving output to regress slightly with the return of Kittle, etc, and that would be fair. 



But what if I told you CMC only has a single rushing touchdown on the season so far?



The best could still be to come. 



Jahmyr Gibbs (Detroit Lions)



Gibbs is having a down year so far, currently sitting as the RB10 in Supercoach.



However, I still have faith in him finishing the season strong as one of the top scorers in his position. 



Everyone thought the issue would be a split backfield with Montgomery, and although that still seems worrisome at times, it is clearly Gibbs&#8217; backfield in Detroit.



Instead, it seems as though things just have not been falling his way yet, and the touchdowns are being spread out across the team.



Don&#8217;t give up on him just yet!

Honourable Mentions 



In my Final Word article last week, I gave Josh Jacobs as a POD option to consider, and he came out and delivered with 58 Supercoach points. 



Jacobs trails only JT in goal-line attempts, so the touchdown upside is there. 



If the Packers&#8217; offense improves as a whole, I could see Jacobs being up there at the end of the season. 



Once he is back and fully healthy, I am still a Bucky Irving.



Maybe a POD option for the run home, but definitely a wait-and-watch.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Wide Receivers </h3>



Puka Nacua (Los Angeles Rams)



It was devastating to see Puka go down with an ankle injury last week, but luckily, it is not serious, with Nacua still technically a chance to play this week, although I highly doubt he will.



Nonetheless, he should be back after their week 8 bye, where I expect him to pick up from where he left off.



Nacua was producing at a record-setting pace, which was translating to monster Supercoach output.



Still my pick for WR1.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Seattle Seahawks)



JSN is having his breakout season as he leads the NFL in receiving yards.



Darnold is playing well, and JSN just keeps on getting better every week.



If you are not already an owner for some reason, get him in.



Amon-Ra St.Brown (Detroit Lions)



St.Brown is another guy I think is a must-own, mainly based on his touchdown upside.



St.Brown is receiving a ridiculous amount of redzone opportunities that are leading to big Supercoach scores when he converts. 



He may not have the same amount of 150-yard games in him as other guys, but he still has a good floor with good targets most weeks.

Ja&#8217;Marr Chase (Cincinnati Bengals)



It would be rude for me not to include Chase on this list after just watching him have a ludicrous 23 targets on Thursday Night Football.



All it has taken is Flacco to replace Browning, and Chase now looks back to his elite best.



Flacco has shown he is more than capable of feeding Chase, and then you add the return of Joe Burrow in mid-December, Chase is a must-have again. 



Just like the start of the season.



CeeDee Lamb (Dallas Cowboys)



Lamb is expected to return this week after missing the last month with an ankle injury.



In his only two games of the season, Lamb put up 110 and 112 yards.



In his absence, George Pickens has been absolutely BALLING, but Lamb is still the clear WR1 in Dallas.



Although Pickens may steal a few touchdowns from him, I still expect massive production with Dallas consistently getting in shootouts and allowing Dak to air it out.

Drake London (Falcons)



If you read my Final Word last week, you would have seen I also included London as a POD option for our teams after a slow start to the season. 



London responded in a big way, posting a massive 53 Supercoach points.



He is clearly the alpha receiver in Atlanta, and if Penix can play at a decent enough level, I expect London to eat.



Honourable mentions



I am a Vikings fan, and it pains me to leave Justin Jefferson off this list.



I believe Jefferson is the best receiver in the NFL, I just don&#8217;t see him having the same ceiling as some of these other guys with McCarthy under centre.



Hoping he proves me wrong, though.



If you want a POD option, look no further than Rashee Rice.



He returns this week after serving his 6-game suspension, and the hype is real.



He slots straight into that WR1 spot with Mahomes absolutely balling; it&#8217;s risky, but the upside is definitely there.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Tight Ends</h3>



Trey McBride (Arizona Cardinals)



Currently, just the TE6 in Supercoach, McBride is waiting to explode.



Not being helped by poor quarterback play from Murray, McBride is still receiving the volume he needs to be the best tight end in Supercoach.



Excitingly, he is also getting good endzone targets, which increases his upside.



McBride has gotten 7+ targets in every game so far this season, which, for a tight end, is a great floor to have.

Tyler Warren (Indianapolis Colts)



The rookie out of Penn State has well and truly lived up to the hype.



The numbers alone are not all that promising, but for the tight end position, it is about as good as you are going to get. 



If he can continue racking up these touchdowns, I like him as a season hold.



Honourable mentions 



Jake Ferguson has had an electric start to the season, but I really think he has been a beneficiary of Lamb being out.



Brock Bowers has had his early-season struggles, but it was revealed he was still carrying an injury, which has now ruled him out for the time being.



Once he is back and healthy, watch for a big finish to the season.
