Supercoach NFL 2025-26: Wide Receiver Analysis


<p>In my opinion, wide receiver is the most important position in Supercoach.</p>



<p>Not because they are the highest scoring or where the most value is (although there certainly is a lot of cash generation to be had).</p>



<p>But because they offer the most volatile scores week by week.</p>



<p>This makes picking the right ones for your team ever so important.</p>



<p>On any given day, a receiver could put up 100 yards and a touchdown to post an absolute haul of Supercoach points.</p>



<p>The very next week, the same player could get locked up for two catches, 10 yards, and an embarrassingly low contribution to your Supercoach team.</p>



<p>You get to choose 8 of these wide receivers for your starting side, so choose wisely.</p>



<p>Unfortunately, with such a large plethora of options, we don’t have time to go through everyone (otherwise this would turn into a 10,000-word never-ending analysis).</p>



<p>Instead, I have picked out some of the highest owned players from different price points to talk through.</p>



<p>A lot of these players are highly owned for good reason, but some, maybe not so much.</p>



<p>I won’t keep you waiting any longer. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Absolute must-haves</strong></h3>



<p><strong>Ja’Marr Chase ($23.58m)</strong></p>



<p>Chase is by far the most expensive wide receiver in the game, but he also finds himself as the highest owned.</p>



<p>This is all for good reason.</p>



<p>Chase is coming off a spectacular season that cemented his spot as one of the best, if not THE best receiver in football.</p>



<p>Going into this season, absolutely nothing around Chase has changed, as he is primed for another big year.</p>



<p>In this pass-heavy Cincinnati offense, if Burrow stays healthy, I expect Chase to finish as WR1 again this year.</p>

<p><strong>Tetairoa McMillan ($4.6m)</strong></p>



<p>After the Panthers traded away Thielen, McMillan is now the firm WR1 on the team and is set for a massive target share.</p>



<p>At his size with his skills, there is no doubt in my mind that he will succeed in the NFL.</p>



<p>Add to that Bryce Young’s stellar form at the back end of last season, and McMillan could be in for a massive year.</p>



<p>There have been reports that he is dealing with a hamstring injury, but all signs point to him being ready for week one.</p>



<p>At this price, you would be silly to pass up on his talent.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Players I would love to own</strong></h3>



<p><strong>Nico Collins ($17.32m)</strong></p>



<p>If he can stay healthy, I think Collins finishes as a top 3 receiver in Supercoach this season.</p>



<p>Collins has put up over 1000 yards in back-to-back injury-affected seasons.</p>



<p>On a Texans team that has now lost Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell, expect Collins to be the focal point of the offense.</p>



<p>The Texans also love to target Collins in the red zone, which boosts his Supercoach output even more.</p>



<p>I wouldn’t say he is quite a must-have, but I am very keen on him to start the season.</p>

<p><strong>Malik Nabers ($17.16m)</strong></p>



<p>The LSU talent put together a stellar rookie season with some of the worst QB play in the league.</p>



<p>With Russel Wilson under centre (and maybe soon to be Jaxson Dart), the Giants QB play should improve.</p>



<p>Nabers is by far the best offensive weapon the Giants have, so expect him to see plenty of ball once again this season.</p>



<p>With a year of NFL experience now under his belt, I can only see Nabers getting better.</p>

<p><strong>Drake London ($15.95m)</strong></p>



<p>London finally broke out last season, racking up 100 receptions for over 1200 yards.</p>



<p>In just a few games with Penix under centre, London saw some crazy high production.</p>



<p>Owners will be hoping London can carry that hot form into the start of the season.</p>



<p>Atlanta should be better this season, and depending on Penix’s quarterback play, London could be in for yet another big year.</p>

<p><strong>Emeka Egbuka ($4.45m)</strong></p>



<p>With Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan both expected to miss the start of the season, a gaping opportunity arises for Egbuka to start his NFL career off hot.</p>



<p>The preseason hype is real for Egbuka, who has been surrounded by nothing but positivity coming into the season.</p>



<p>The Buckeye talent definitely has the ability to produce for Supercoach sides, and he may just have the opportunity as well.</p>

<p><strong>Matthew Golden ($4.35m)</strong></p>



<p>Similar to Egbuka, it is hard to pass up on a guy with so much talent and opportunity while sitting at virtually base dollar.</p>



<p>The Packers have been longing for a true WR1 since Davante Adams left, and they will be hoping that Golden can be that guy for them.</p>



<p>My only doubt is that Golden wasn’t as dominant in college as some of the other rookies and may not be as NFL-ready.</p>



<p>Owners will be hoping for a fast start from the 4.29 speedster himself.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Maybe worth a watch first</strong></h3>



<p><strong>Justin Jefferson ($18.38m)</strong></p>



<p>If Chase isn’t the best receiver in football, then it is Justin Jefferson.</p>



<p>There is no doubt in my mind about Jefferson’s ability, but unfortunately, as with any receiver, their production may be heavily contingent on their quarterback play.</p>



<p>J.J. McCarthy looks set for his first season under centre, and there is no way to know how quick he will settle in.</p>



<p>Jefferson may take time to get going, but I still expect him to score well.</p>



<p>You would be brave to leave him out of your starting side, but maybe it is worth it to wait and watch?</p>

<p><strong>CeeDee Lamb ($16.6m)</strong></p>



<p>I do not doubt Lamb’s ability to perform, and I still think he very well might finish as a top 5 receiver in Supercoach this season.</p>



<p>Two seasons ago, Lamb finished as the WR,1 and he will be hoping to replicate similar production this season.</p>



<p>However, there are a couple of things I want to see before bringing him into my team.</p>



<p>Firstly, how good is Dak Prescott going to be this season?</p>



<p>Secondly, how bad are the Cowboys going to be?</p>



<p>And finally, how much target share will George Pickens take off Lamb?</p>

<p><strong>Brian Thomas Jr. ($16.58m)</strong></p>



<p>With so many rookies putting up impressive numbers, BTJ’s rookie season went a bit under the radar.</p>



<p>His production in Jacksonville was nothing short of spectacular, firmly establishing himself as their WR1.</p>



<p>I really like BTJ as a pick, and I think he is very capable of finishing as a top 5 WR in Supercoach.</p>



<p>The only thing holding me back is the potential of shared targets with Travis Hunter.</p>

<p><strong>Travis Hunter ($4.7m)</strong></p>



<p>Now I could spend a lot of time discussing what might happen with one of the most exciting young talents in the league.</p>



<p>In short, he is both a wide receiver and a cornerback, and this obviously looms as a potential problem for his Supercoach output.</p>



<p>The more reps he plays on defence, the less on offense, and the fewer points he will get for our Supercoach sides.</p>



<p>However, the Jaguars have reportedly said they plan to use him mainly as a receiver to start, so he is definitely still an enticing option.</p>



<p>It’s very hard to pass up on such a talent at such a low price tag but could be worth watching before buying.</p>
