Spy Talk | Round 25 games to target and avoid for NRL Supercoach?


<p>G’day everyone,</p>



<p>Last week, I looked at each game and how many points I thought might be on offer. </p>



<p>I feel it’s a good way to try and value add at this time of year because with tries come big scores for our players and vice versa. </p>



<p>It could generally be the difference between a win for you and a loss that sends your SC squad on a plane to Thailand.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Games to Targets/Avoid Ranked</strong></h3>



<p>I’ve given each game a ranking and a comment, which might help you find a target or two, or even help with sits v starts, which may also be the difference between winning and losing:</p>

<p><strong>Rabbitohs v Dragons – 5.5</strong></p>



<p>It&#8217;s been as wet as I’ve seen in a while in Sydney, and the ground will be dead set soaked. </p>



<p>How well will each team defend? I’m not sure.</p>



<p>There could still be some points, but they may come in funny ways. </p>



<p>In short, I would not be keen on ANY outside backs, but maybe some middles can get busy and work up some stats if the ball isn’t dropped every two sets.</p>



<p>Generally avoid where possible, but it may suit a guy like <strong>Keaon Koloamatangi</strong> if the ball can remain in play and if he can play decent minutes on return from injury.</p>

<p><strong>Panthers v Raiders – 7</strong></p>



<p>Plenty of rain on Wednesday night, but dry since. </p>



<p>Looking at past results, the Mudgee track has points in it. </p>



<p>A battle of the top sides means we can probably expect the same as if it were played in Parramatta in the dry. </p>

<p>Approach this as a normal game between two top 4 sides.</p>



<p>6pm helps a little, rather than 8pm. </p>



<p>A real test of where both sides are at!</p>

<p><strong>Storm vs Bulldogs – 6.5</strong></p>



<p>The weather looks ok, which is a big bonus, but with a big clash for both sides, defences should be ready for the battle. </p>



<p>Any game with the Dogs has typically involved decent defence, but are they running out of gas? </p>



<p>It’s hard to say if the Storm score 16 or 40 in this one. </p>



<p>The Dogs&#8217; attack, on the other hand, is ok, but will they be up for this one?</p>



<p>I’m certainly not attacking this game with any PODs or skipper options, but it has the capacity to open up.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Sea Eagles v Dolphins – 8.5</strong></p>



<p>This is where we could see points!</p>



<p>The sun should be back out by Saturday arvo, and if you have players in this game, I’d generally feel good about it. </p>



<p>Do I play <strong>Lehi</strong>!? Probably! </p>



<p>Is <strong>Turbo</strong> going to turn one on before the end of the year, or is he out of juice? </p>



<p>A bit to play out, but the scene is good for attack if the sides can deliver.</p>

<p><strong>Titans v Warriors – 7.5-8</strong></p>



<p>I&#8217;m torn on this rating as both sides can be hard to predict of late. </p>



<p>Do the Warriors have a surge in them, or are they off the rails? </p>



<p>How they turn up probably dictates how many points we see from both teams, as a strong Wahs performance can often see a low-scoring clash. </p>



<p>Still a good game points-wise, one would expect, but not a certainty to be high scoring if the Wahs are resilient.</p>

<p><strong>Eels v Roosters – 8</strong></p>



<p>This one should be dry, and hopefully, we will see some points. </p>



<p>Not a slam dunk match for SC players, but again, not a bad one to target. </p>



<p>Interesting to see if Parramatta can continue their form of the last 4 weeks. </p>



<p>Much like the Wahs above, this will dictate what kind of scoreline we see, as I have faith in The Chooks to throw a quality attack at them. </p>



<p><strong>Teddy</strong> C is right on the cards!</p>

<p><strong>Knights v Broncos – 8.5 (For Brisbane)</strong></p>



<p>Another day game, hopefully dry and a good game to target for Brisbane Broncos owners at least. </p>



<p>As for the Knights, maybe they already have a fork in them. </p>



<p>Does this mean they throw the footy around a bit more? </p>



<p>I would love to know because I have <strong>Gagai</strong> and have no idea what to do with him. </p>



<p>Brisbane tick – Newcastle no idea!</p>

<p><strong>Cowboys v Tigers – 8-8.5</strong></p>



<p>On the surface, it seems to be a points fest based on recent meetings between the pair, but the Tigers have shown some tenacity at various stages this year and are at home at the 8<sup>th</sup> wonder. </p>



<p>For owners of Tigers players, this looks the goods. </p>



<p>For the Cowboys, I’m truly unsure. <strong>Drinky</strong>, for example, could score 30 and I would not be shocked, or he could score 120 and I’d be equally unsurprised.  </p>



<p><strong>Conclusion&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>It&#8217;s getting harder to figure out which teams are still going to turn up with a defensive attitude and which teams will not. </p>



<p>It&#8217;s that time of the year after all!</p>



<p>The above guide can at least give you the best chance of nailing some decisions that can hopefully take you to a win in a knockout H2H match or climb the ranks in overall. </p>
