Positional Watchlist: NRL Supercoach Round 14 Rising and Falling Player Stocks

An interesting round coming up with the Roosters, who most Supercoaches have loaded up on, missing due to the bye. 



Again, I’d be waiting where possible to the major or mini bye rounds to trade if you can. 



However, it could make sense to make a move or two this week due to breakevens or needing to strengthen a position.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Fullbacks</h3>



Scott Drinkwater is the main point of interest here. 



As Walson Carlos outlined in the weekly wrap podcast, the Cowboys&#8217; new halves combination appears to be taking many of his try-assist opportunities. 



Combined with a reduction in base + power stats, this has reduced his overall SC output. 



It also makes him far less appealing as a captaincy option. 



With a 181 BE ahead of a Storm matchup, I’m leaning towards selling. 



There’s an added benefit of this, freeing up the flex spot to help navigate trades over the remainder of the bye period.

I see no major urgency on any CTWs this week. 



If short on players, you could take your pick of the targets below. 



For most, it will make sense to hold off making the move until the major and mini bye rounds ahead.

Campbell is delivering on his immense SC potential and doesn’t have another bye until round 18. 



He’s a great target this week or next.

The main thing worth noting here is that Nicho will be essential next week. 



Sharks are at home to the Dragons on Thursday night, making him a prime VC candidate.

Jack Williams is an intriguing option. 



The hybrid middle edge role is suiting him well, with scores of 80 (72 minutes), 96 (73 minutes), 62 (66 minutes) in his last three.

With so many duals available (likely including Koloamatangi when duals are added round 18), FRF is looking easy to set up for the run home.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Hooker</h3>



Another near 80-minute performance in a hybrid hooker/lock role for Damien Cook, which again worked well for the Dragons. 



In both games when he’s played this role, the Saints have had an injury to an edge backrower. 



However, he also played a key role in them winning both those games. 



With a -3 BE, I can see merit in bringing him in this week if you need a hooker.
