Quantium Data Analysis: 2025 NRL Supercoach Ownership Stats, Rd 5

Analysing the NRL Supercoach ownership of players across the top teams heading into the last week of Supercoach.



To make life easier when identifying true ownership of NRL Supercoach players, each week we’ll break it down into ranking brackets.



Whether you’re chasing ranks, or playing it safe up top, it’ll help identify the best ways to try and achieve your Supercoach goals.



The tables below sets out the proportion of Supercoach teams in the top 1%, top 5%, top 10% and overall that own each player.&nbsp;



This season, there are over 150,000 Supercoach teams, so top 1% would be roughly the top 1500 teams, top 5% is the top 7,500 teams and top 10% is top 15,000 teams.

Let’s take a look at the ownership of players heading into Round 6.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="block-6a249953-86b0-49db-bf1b-1c8c9bd539db">Fullback (excluding DPP)</h3>



Clint Gutherson delivered everything except for a win against his former club. He crossed for two tries and had an assist in his 130-point performance. 



He was the 4th most captained player by teams in the top 1% with 9.1% of Supercoaches putting the (C) on him. Cudos to you, if you did!



On the opposite side of the spectrum, Kalyn Ponga struggled to get any attack going for the Knights scoring just 35 points. 



He was the 2nd most captained player among Supercoaches last week and as a result, he is the most traded out fullback heading into Round 6.



However, that might be a bit of a rage trade considering he has two Sunday arvo home games against the Tigers and Sharks &#8211; two teams he scored 120+ points against last time they played in this very timeslot.



So, my message is to stay patient Ponga owners.



Isaiah Iongi finally exploded for the Eels last week, scoring a season/career-high of 107 against the Dragons. He has got the Raiders, Tigers and then Sharks with Mitch Moses back&#8230; a definite hold.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="block-c2682183-b3fc-4aab-9733-1d93857bb8f0">CTW</h3>



Thomas Jenkins is now the most-owned CTW amongst teams ranked in the top 10%.



Many thought that his scoring potential looked over when he was a late swap to the wing, however he still punched out 66 points &#8211; and probably should have had more if Casey McLean gave it to him on that 2-on-1 with the fullback late in the game.



Christian Tuipulotu rewarded owners who stayed patient with him after his 32 in Round 4 vs Storm, with a solid 75 points against the Eels.



As a result, he has gained a bit of interest for this week, as he plays the Titans at home &#8211; however with a breakeven of 89 and at a price tag of $635k there might be better options out there.

Cameron Munster was on a heater last week against Manly scoring 90+ points for the 2nd time in 4 games this season.



He is the 4th most traded-in player, which is understandable with a nice draw of the Warriors, Dolphins and Rabbitohs &#8211; the first and last at AAMI and the Phins at their 2nd home ground, Suncorp.



Jayden Campbell was the 2nd most traded-in player last week amongst the top 1% of teams, and unfortunately scored just 53 points against an 0-4 Phins side.



It shouldn&#8217;t be alarm bells just yet as his draw continues to soften against the Dragons this week, then the Raiders and Cowboys.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="block-0275278c-028c-4ef9-b9a6-b869684ab4eb">HLF</h3>



Nathan Cleary is at $688k. I repeat Cleary is at $688k&#8230; and he has bottomed out yet.



After a very generous update to 94 points last week against the Cowboys, there is a lot to like about Cleary who faces the Dolphins, Roosters and Manly in his next 3 games.



On top of that, Penrith are struggling, which for any other player is a red flag, however for Cleary I expect him to take control more and do more to get the 4-time defending premiers back into the top 8.



Other than that, Jamie Humphreys is the most traded out player after he suffered a hamstring injury that will see him out of action for the next 4-5 weeks.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="block-adc59c9a-8035-4b76-89f0-c28fba171b74">2RF</h3>



Eliesa Katoa is starting to gain popularity this week. He was one of the top 2RFs last season, and is the 4th most traded in player amongst the top 1% of teams.



He is the #1 2RF to start the season in terms of points and has had 4 major attacking stats in his first 4 games too. Warriors, Dolphins and Bunnies to come&#8230;



Thomas Cant is the most traded-in player heading into Round 6. He has impressed with scores of 88 and 62 in 80 minute performances.



With a breakeven of -66, he is expected to rise $97k in price to around $370k. However, with Kai Pearce-Paul back, don&#8217;t expect him to get a full 80-minutes this week.



Dylan Egan is another cheapie getting a lot of interest. He is the 2nd most traded-in player amongst teams ranked in the top 1%. 



His breakeven is -38, with an expected price rise of $56k to take him over $250k. He has been solid off the bench with 47 and 52 in his last 2 games.

Not too much to update here. 



Haas and May continue to be the two top FRF choices with 95% of the top 10% of Supercoaches owning the duo.

The Tom Starling exodus continues this week as he is the 4th most traded out player heading into Round 6.



His minutes are slowly dwindling with Owen Pattie getting a bit more game time. He started with 68 and 70 minutes, but in the last 3 weeks he has averaged just 54 minutes with a season low of 51 minutes against the Raiders.



He is expected to peak in price in the next 2-3 weeks.
