POD Hunter: Round 11, unique players to find an edge

Each week we’ll run through a list of potential candidates that fit the bill, owned by under 10% of SuperCoaches at the time of writing that can help us claw up the rankings at a rapid rate.



Also, pay attention to any fixture changes given the current environment the BBL is taking place in.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">DOUBLE ROUND POD</h2>



Zahir Khan – 8.6% ownership



Kane Richardson looks to be a lock in sides for the Renegades double.&nbsp;



If coaches are looking for another Renegades bowler to include, perhaps Khan is worth a look at. He started the tournament on fire and was a shrewd pick up by Maxy in the early stages of play.&nbsp;



92, 48 and 66 points were scored by Khan as he picked up multiple wickets and was economical.&nbsp;



More recently, he has not been as effective and is not picking up wickets and has been expensive.&nbsp;



He will be a cheap price (much cheaper than I anticipated at $89,500) and is sure to tempt some with trades. I wonder if Maxy will pick him again for their double?

Haris Rauf – 5.2% ownership



Rauf’s ownership will grow significantly during the Stars double-double.&nbsp;



He will bowl some surge and death overs for the Stars and he bowls with express pace.&nbsp;



He actively looks to take wickets, rather than minimising runs which is very nice from a SC perspective.&nbsp;



Scoring 104 points during the double that the Stars had last round demonstrates that he is in very reasonable form.&nbsp;



He was poor last season scoring only recording 25 points over a three game stint.&nbsp;



The fact that he is here for a longer time this tournament and can find his groove is important for him.&nbsp;



You’d be brave to leave him out,  remember he took his first season in the BBL by storm with four scores over 100, including two 150s!



Nic Maddinson – 4.7% ownership



He can be a hot and cold from a SC perspective, but what did surprise me when looking at the statistics is that before that last round Maddinson was 18th overall in terms of averages with 58 points per game.&nbsp;



Personally, I would not have thought he would be that high, but it does demonstrate how valuable players who can score massive scores are.&nbsp;



He has had one large batting game and one large bowling game. He’s an aggressive batter who swings hard, he can get dismissed early in his innings.&nbsp;



After having a great game with the ball against the Stars, it was rather surprising he did not bowl a single over in the Renegades next match.&nbsp;



Probably one I personally won’t be selecting, but I can see some appeal for others. Timmy has had him in his side at some stage and it would be interesting to see if he selects him for their double game.

Qais Ahmad &#8211; 4.2% ownership



Another double round for the Stars, another mention for Ahmad in the POD article. &nbsp;

To put it simply, 83 points in the Stars first double game round and 95 in the Stars second double game round shows he can score well. He also has a 122 point effort in a single game round, if you don’t mind!

Mackenzie Harvey – 3.2% ownership



If Harvey returns to the opening batting position, like he was earlier in the tournament, he could be someone worth considering for a trade in.&nbsp;



81 and 96 points were scored by Harvey when opening the batting as he played some handy knocks.&nbsp;



Finch and Marsh will be popular trade ins as they are quality players, but Harvey could present an option for those looking to be different.&nbsp;



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SINGLE ROUND POD</h2>



Ben Dwarshuis – 2.3% ownership



Dwarshuis is someone who we have previously outlined in our POD articles and was mentioned on the latest SC Playbook podcast.&nbsp;



He remains a trade in option at an extremely low-ownership. The Sixers are missing a few bowling troops at the moment, so Benny has assumed a greater role and greater responsibility within the Sixers bowling cartel.&nbsp; A possible Sixers double to end the season is a positive too.&nbsp;
