Stat Breakdown: Key numbers shaping Round 4

Looking at some key Scorchers on the double, the first name that stands out is Mitch Marsh.



He&#8217;s currently in career best form with the bat and is coming off a 165 point effort in his first game this BBL campaign, he is pretty much a must-have, especially at his price.



He averages 43.3 against the Hurricanes and 45.2 against the Renegades along with a 113.67 at Blundstone Arena. The form he is in though, he could easily surpass these averages. Ashton Agar continues his solid start this BBL with a 71 in Round 3 taking his average to 50 this season. He still offers decent value at his price.

He averages 65 against the Hurricanes, a team he just played well against, and 37.8 against the Renegades.



He averages 64.5 at Blundstone Arena and has a 47.5 average at Marvel stadium. Historically the Marvel pitch suits spinners well. Tymal Mills started this BBL with a bang scoring 101 points and as a result could be a popular trade in.



He has forced Matt Kelly out of the side and has taken over his nice role. With the Scorchers home games all moved, his availability is no longer an issue. Josh Inglis not opening in his first game this BBL might make people think twice when looking to bring him in.

He averages 55.8 against the Renegades and 51.6 against the Hurricanes and is averaging 78.7 at Blundstone Arena and 79 at Marvel stadium.



He&#8217;s a versatile batsman and also being available at WKP in Supercoach is crucial at a reasonable price, he still presents as a good option. Jason Behrendorff has somewhat gone under the radar this season but is averaging 59 after three games.



He averages 41.3 against the Hurricanes and 45.5 against the Renegades with an average of 39 at Blundstone Arena and 73.7 at Marvel Stadium.



His spot in the team seems safe and he usually bowls economically with the occasional wicket. He has developed his skills, not totally relying on swinging the new ball for wickets. He has developed a nice knuckle ball and will bowl the odd over at the death or in the power surge.

Colin Munro has had a hit and miss start to BBL11, but that is the nature of an opening batsman in T20s.



He has two low scores and a big score of 154 this season, he averages 5 at Blundstone Arena and 27.3 at Marvel.



He had upside with a high ceiling and is an option worth considering and he is not overly expensive for an opening batsman.

Andrew Tye has started this BBL well averaging 64 so far. He averages 34.6 against the Hurricanes in six games with one if those being a washed out game, while he averages 33 against the Renegades.



It’s not the best reading but he is better than those averages suggest. For his sake it’s a shame he won’t play at Optus Stadium where he averages 65 in 11 games, he averages 40 at Marvel Stadium and 27.3 at Blundstone Arena.



He takes key wickets at key times, already taking 7 wickets in three games this BBL campaign, making him a strong option to consider.
