Champion PODs: Rd 5, unique players to find an edge

1) Daniel Tupou ($529,800)



It’s insane to think this guy is only 2% owned in such a destructive Roosters team.



He comes into round 5 averaging over 50 in the CTW without a single try to his name, if that doesn’t say it all I don’t know what does.



The Roosters have matchups against the Sharks, Dragons and Knights in three out of the next four weeks and you best believe Tupou’s drought will end in one or more of these games.



Tupou’s tackle busting and offloading alongside 20 runs per game is on par with Brian To’o as the best base attack in the CTW position right now with significantly less ownership, so I would seriously think about getting him as key differential against To’o owners.

2) Campbell Graham ($437,500)



Campbell Graham does not have a single attacking stat to his name so far this season which has seen him drop over $100k from his starting price.



Souths play the Broncos this week without Cody Walker which means they will likely spread to Graham’s right edge (defended by Milford) more often than not – go figure.



If you are considering bringing him in this is certainly the week to pull the trigger and try to make up some ranks.

3) Corey Thompson ($484,800)



The Titans draw over the next five weeks is unparalleled in its potential for a CTW to go on a run and Corey Thompson may be the man to bring the pain.



CT has slipped massively under the radar over the first month of footy after averaging 66.8 thanks to four tries, five linebreaks and 19 tackle busts.



His exceptional work rate also means that you are unlikely to see any scores under 45 which is crucial for CTW consistency over the course of a long and demanding SuperCoach season.

4) Paul Momirovksi ($463,200)



Averaging 65 so far in 2021, Momirovksi has notched up three tries, five linebreaks and 14 tackle busts.



Much like the Titans and Rabbitohs, the Panthers have an extraordinarily kind draw over the next month which will no doubt see Momo continue racking up the attacking stats.



Whilst he probably isn’t a keeper, and $463k is a steep price to pay for a non CTW keeper, he still shapes as a prime short to mid-term trade in target for those looking to escape the likes of Fergo and To’o who will both be 25%+ owned within a month.

5) Justin Olam ($452,400)



Olam has looked extremely threatening over the opening month and averages similar (60+) to most of the other guys on this list with quantifiably less tries and linebreaks so far.



Amazingly, Cameron Munster has no try-assists to start the season and with Olam lurking outside him you can expect this to change (by a lot) against the lacklustre Bulldogs this week.



In fact I will add to my bold predictions that Justin Olam and Munster combine for a minimum of two tries this week and both go 100+.
