Champion PODs: Unique players to find an edge

<p>With only 24 games of SuperCoach point scoring NRL left, it’s
time to empty the tank and chase high-risk, high-reward players if you are
looking to make a final charge up the rankings. </p>



<p>I will keep this article fairly brief and to the point because there&#8217;s actually very few players that fit the bill and are worth taking a stab at. </p>

<p><strong>1. Josh Addo-Carr ($561,200) </strong></p>



<p>JAC’s ownership may say 11.7%, but I assure you most of
these owners will be ghost teams and won&#8217;t be highly ranked, which makes this
trade-in even more enticing to those who are. </p>



<p>With a five round average of 77.2 points (including a 136
point game against manly), JAC has managed a staggering four tries, four try-assists,
27 tackle busts and eight linebreaks in that time. </p>



<p>If that doesn&#8217;t indicate form I don’t know what does. Melbourne play the Cowboys, Tigers and Dragons to round out the season, so if you are going to take a punt on a 5th CTW he is your man. </p>

<p><strong>2. Addin Fonua-Blake ($463,300) </strong></p>



<p>Following the same pattern as the JAC pick, AFB has a soft
draw and a high ceiling if he produces his best. </p>



<p>It’s hard to believe the games most destructive FRF is only
owned by 2.3% of SuperCoaches coming into the final three weeks of the season,
but alas it has been a strange year. </p>



<p>Manly play the Bulldogs, Titans and Warriors to round out
the year which is about as good as draws can get. </p>



<p>AFB has only managed three tries and three linebreaks this
season, but the games he achieved them he notched up 142 and 93 respectively. </p>



<p>If you think he is any chance to nab some more attacking stats in the final three games he is definitely worth the trade-in at such a bottom dollar price. </p>

<p><strong>3. Liam Martin ($544,800) </strong></p>



<p>Penrith round out what has been an exceptional season with
games against the Eels, Cowboys and Bulldogs which makes Liam Martin a very
appealing late purchase if he can continue his run of try-scoring form. </p>



<p>Boasting a three round average of 74.3 points, Martin is
owned by just 2.4% of teams, however this average is inflated by a string of
tries and try-assists in recent games which makes him a very risky trade. </p>



<p>Furthermore, he is only available at 2RF which is already a
heavily stacked position full of guns and keepers who churn out the same base
stats week in week out. </p>



<p>However, if you believe Martin has the potential to outscore the likes of Jurbo, Murray and Tohu over the last three rounds I really like this trade-in. </p>

<p><strong>DCE and Cody Walker </strong></p>



<p>Both have the potential to end the season with a three round
average upwards of 85-90 or conversely below 50, so depending on how many
trades you have left and who you currently have at 5/8 these guys could be make
or break trades to end the season.</p>
