<p><strong>Analysing the top 100,000 NRL Supercoach teams after Round 20</strong></p>



<p>Round 21 marks the end of the silly bye season and the final stretch.  </p>



<p>With the return of a few Supercoach guns (most notably Nathan Cleary and Latrell Mitchell), it’s a challenge to balance setting your side up for the final assault with saving enough traded for the inevitable injuries and bye schedule coming up.  </p>



<p>I say it every year, but trades could prove invaluable to end the year – particularly when you have teams like the Warriors and Souths – each stacked with Supercoach relevant players – having the bye on the run home. </p>



<p>Let’s take a look at the ownership of each player after Round 20.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Fullback (non-DPP)</strong></h2>



<p>The table below sets out the proportion of teams in the top 100, top 1,000, top 5,000, top 10,000, top 20,000 and top 100,000 that own each fullback.</p>



<p>Half of Jahream Bula’s owners in the leading teams sold last week, meaning he is now owned by just 7% of the top 1,000.  I suspect many teams sold to Kalyn Ponga who is listed at five eighth in the tables below.</p>



<p>Latrell, Reece and Teddy each look like very handy potential PODs depending on how much cash you have to spend.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>CTW</strong></h2>



<p>Not a huge amount of movement at CW last week.  It looks like a number of teams downgraded the likes of Ronaldo Mulitalo and Alex Johnston to Jack Howarth and Blake Wilson to free up cash.  Ronaldo’s owners will be looking for a hit back in form this week!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Five-eighth</strong></h2>



<p>Kalyn Ponga is now owned by 98% of the top 1,000 teams versus 82% a week ago.  Looks like most good judges got on…apologies to Timmy Williams!</p>



<p>Cameron Munster has increased from 19% ownership amongst the top 1,000 to 41% whilst Cody Walker has fallen from 50% to 46%.  Josh Schuster has fallen from 21% to 15%.  </p>



<p>The Munster v Cody battle on the run home will be important for many teams. Cody has a sweet draw but does have a bye in Round 26 which could cause problems for some owners.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Halfback</strong></h2>



<p>With Nathan Cleary returning this week against the Bulldogs (🤢), many Supercoaches will be scrambling to find a way to bring Nathan in.  10% of the top 1,000 already own Nathan!</p>



<p>Along with 9% of the top 1,000, I own Jahrome Hughes as my second halfback.  That strikes me as a pretty obvious upgrade to Nathan if you can find the cash.</p>



<p>Where it gets more interesting is for the 42% of the top 1,000 teams (and 47 of the top 100) running the Hynes-SJ combination.  SJ is in fine form and has a sweet draw for the run home.  Do you hold trades and retain the combo – and if not, which player do you trade out?</p>



<p>Only 60 of the top 20,000 teams do not own Nicho Hynes so it’s a risk to trade him to Cleary – but if it comes off it could be a huge move.  Good luck with that one.</p>



<p>37% of the top 1,000 teams are running with Hynes and Mitch Moses.  Again, Moses to Cleary seems a clearer move there in my opinion. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2RF</strong></h2>



<p>David Fifita increased from 46% ownership amongst the top 1,000 to 76% this week.  I was one of the new buyers only to see Jacob Preston outscore the big man.  Jacob’s ownership fell from 54% to 36%.</p>



<p>Big Tino’s ownership increased from 16% ownership amongst the top 1,000 to 27% this week.  His owners would be filthy with his three-week suspension making him a must sell this week.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>FRF</strong></h2>



<p>Beyond Tino, there still hasn’t been a huge amount of movement in FRF ownership over the past few weeks.  </p>



<p>AFB has increased from being owned by 40% of the top 1,000 to 46% and some teams have nuffed the likes of JDB and Harrison Edwards to Myles Martin.  Martin looks like an ideal FRF/2RF nuff. </p>

<p>Harry Grant is now owned by79% of the top 1,000 teams – up from 65% last week.  As a non-owner he has hard to death ride! </p>



<p>Damien Cook is down to 31% ownership – down from 39% a week ago.</p>

<p>Close to 90% of the top 100 either captained Kalyn Ponga or looped him last week.</p>
