Bandit's skippers: Round 6 captain's to target and avoid


<p>There was a bevy of big scores to choose from last week for our captains in Gather Round as most coaches had their biggest-scoring week of the season to date.</p>



<p>Lachie Neale (176), Jordan Dawson (152), Marcus Bontempelli (145), Tim English (139) and Rory Laird (135) led the way, but you wouldn’t have been disappointed with Nick Daicos (128) or Touk Miller (127) either.</p>

<p>Was on fire in the first half last week before Willem Drew curtailed his influence somewhat. Justin Longmuir has indicated during the week that they’ll put some time into Bont, but to my eye there’s really no one in the Dockers’ side that can play a run with role for the whole game.</p>

<p>English v Darcy will be a fascinating battle on Friday night – can English keep his run of 130+ scores going? There’s nothing obvious to me that says he can’t. He took on Gawn and Grundy in Round 1 and scored just fine. If you like him this week then chuck the VC on.</p>

<p>Simply demands inclusion again this week after back-to-back 150+ scores. The Hawks sent Nash to Josh Kelly last week to limit his influence, will they do the same with Dawson?</p>

<p>Lots of people will be jumping on the Touk Train this week and why not celebrate that with including him here? He’s taken North to the cleaners several times and I’m expecting him to do the same in what is simply a must-win game for the Suns to keep their season alive.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Clayton Oliver</strong></h2>



<p>Did Essendon give other teams a blueprint on how to beat the Demons? They sent Setterfield to Oliver in the first half and he only had 11 disposals at half time. Yes, he got off the chain in the second half, but the result was effectively over. Towelled up the Tigers in this fixture last year however, so I think he could be in for a big score.</p>

<p>He has one foot in the ‘perma-captain’ bracket at this stage and there’s no reason to jump off him this week if you like him. Should score well against an Essendon team that doesn’t really have a genuine tagger and teams seem intent on not tagging him anyway.</p>
