PUNTING PLAYS

PLAY: South Sydney Rabbitohs v Canterbury Bulldogs: To score 2+ tries – Alex Johnstone @$3.15

I was really tempted to take the -22.5 line for the Rabbitohs as I think it’ll be a riot, but all the Dogs have to do is snare a few cheap converted tries and it becomes a big margin to reel in.

The new rules are so conducive to blow out score lines as we continue to see, so I think we’re only going to see these lines get larger and larger.

The Rabbitohs left edge is absolutely lethal, and I think AJ will cruise to a few tries in dry conditions, potentially more, so the added value of the line betting is enticing.

PLAY: Melbourne Storm v Brisbane Broncos: Line: Storm -19.5 @$1.80

I’m fairly confident the Storm will win this comfortably off the back of a few losses against tough opposition. Brisbane are fielding their strongest pack in a long time, but match fitness may be a slight issue through the middle.

I’m also not confident the Broncos backline have many points in them, especially against the strongest defensive unit in the NRL. Ryan Papenhuyzen to cross for a double also took my attention.

PLAY: Parramatta Eels v Wests Tigers: Line: Eels -9.5 @$1.90

Not quite as confident on this bet, but I do think Parramatta are a far superior side who have plenty more to offer despite being unbeaten.

The Tigers are extremely underwhelming despite coming off a win. They may have a few points in them, but I think they’ll leak far more.
